Thread: TPW Expansion Preparation

UH-HUH. Looking over the stories section that they already have (well, skimming 'cause I'm too lazy to read), it seems that probably Simple would be an appropriate stage. From what I can see, they're not too good on the grammar scale, and those that are use basic styles of writing. With a bit of advice -- and if they follow that advice -- they can get a little better, and there're already some good authors mixed in. Problem is, there's, like, 19 stories actually posted, and one of them is Alaska's lol. I'd suggest Basic anyway, as I'm judging from what I saw that that'd be an easily-achievable goal for maybe all of the people who've posted something up.

So... I just realized I'm the last active member who competed in the NWC for BMG. We did have some good activity from participants, though. Most stuck around and got jobs. I think we should definitely push for people to participate.

I'm training Brainiac, Siless, Akinai and a couple other people in grading... That grader test takes a while to complete though.

:P finished it today. It isn't the first time I started it, but I couldn't find any of the previous attempts, so I had to start from scratch.

So one last thing to ironed out in regards to the contests: the prizes. Here are some I thought at the top off my head. Feel free to change them and give your input.

For the NWC:

1st prize: A Medium Pokémon of your choice and $5,000.
2nd prize: A Simple Pokémon of your choice and $5,000.
3rd: An Easiest Pokémon of $5,000.

For the Grading Contest:

1st place: $15,000
2nd place: $10,000
3rd place: $5,000

SWC, we'll see once we get an idea on the activity of the Story section once the new branch opens.

The last time we had someone tie to go to final round (the last NWC, iirc), they had their own round to determine who would on. (I'm pretty sure that's how we did it. My memory is absolutely horrible.) Then there's the fact that we don't know how many people will be in the finals because we don't how many total entries we'll have. I usually split the stories four per round. If we do end up having four people in the final round, then a consolation prize could be offered.

No, I remember how it was done because it was me =P

I got thrown into the last round and received no reward. I did get the round winner bonus money for the round I tied, though. So I guess that was my reward. I was only 1 point back too. It was just disappointing for me as a writer to not get a mon when everyone else did. And I am the only winner left too.

I just don't want it to happen to somebody else.
