A Midnight Capture
It was midnight and me and my charmander were lost in the forest. It was hard to see but the flame on charmander's tail made it easier to see. It became worried though because the sound of the hoothoot and noctowl could no longer be heard. Charmander then stumbled. I turned around to see a humongous pine tree on fire.
I tried to stop the fire with all of the water bottles in my backpack but I failed. Charmander ran away while I did this. Many wild poliwag appeared and tried to help me but it still did not work and two more trees caught on fire. Some marril came to help to help extinguish the horrible blaze. A group of wooper arrived using watergun as well. Suddenly a buizel leaped out from the bushes using aqua jet which washed away the flames and saved the forest!
I started looking for charmander. I heard something in the trees. I saw a sceptile jump from a tree followed by many grovyle and even more treeko! Zubat were flying across the night sky. I still could not find charmander.
I would not give up. I had been searching for hours. I finally got to a lake full of goldeen. I looked across the lake and saw charmander! I boarded a wild lapras to get across the lake.
There in front of charmander was a gastly. Charmander immediately used ember. Gastly quickly retaliated with night shade. "Good job." I said. I threw a poke ball. It wobbled back and forth and stopped and made a "ding" sound!

I'm sorry, but this story is far too short for a Gastly. As stated in this thread, a Gastly is a Hard ranking Pokemon. This means your story should be somewhere around 20,000 to 30,000 characters in length. Right now, your story is only about 1,400 characters.
I suggest reading the How to Write Stories thread for some help. You should also take a glance at pe2k's Story Board for a general idea on how stories should look. :)
