The bright red star was shining down on the southern coasts of Atlanta, located at the Unova Region. The coast was filled with unique Pokemon wandering around. Average-sized reddish crabs were slamming their rock-like shells against each other; they could be sparring with one another. Near the Ishizumai were some Marakacchi shaking their long green cactus-like ears together that sounded like some maracas.
On some part of Atlanta was a young boy lying down on a red cloth that was laid down on the sand. His fair skin was exposed to the rays of the sun while an umbrella that had the same color as the cloth covered his face. He tried to sleep but the Marakacchi was too noisy enough to make him stay awake.
“Man, I thought they were supposed to live on dry land!?” the boy whined. He stood up to enjoy the view of the coasts until he turned around and grabbed a red and white ball from his khaki shorts.
“Alakazam, come out and enjoy the daylight.” He tossed the ball in the air, releasing a bright light that formed a large figure of a yellowish Pokemon that had brown-like armor on its body. It raised its two silver spoons in the sky as it shouted out its name.
“Ragna!! Are you going to have fun without me?” a voice shouted from a distance. Its tone was high enough that would make one think that it’s a young girl. The boy, who was apparently named Ragna, searched the vicinity for any signs of a person calling out to him. Near the water was a young girl that wore a long white blouse and a yellow hat. Her long brown hair fell down to the ground.
“Oh, it’s just you, Katie.” Ragna came closer to the girl who called out to him. She averted her attention from Ragna and stared at the clear blue waters of the sea. Eventually Ragna and Alakazam sat down with her.
“Do you think the name of this coast came from the legendary city, Atlantis?” Katie looked back at Ragna with a seious face.
“Uhh, I don’t know, actually. What’s the reason for you asking that question all of a sudden?” Ragna asked back at Katie, giving her a confused face.
“Well, don’t you think it would be cool if Atlantis is real?” Katie stood up from where she was seating and reached out her hand to Ragna. He grabbed her hand as Katie lifted him up as Alakazam levitated himself to make him stand up.
“Probably, but it isn’t even real,” Ragna commented as all of them gazed at the seas.
Eventually the ground was beginning to shake. The Pokemon at the coast panicked: most of the Pokemon ran away from the sea, some of them buried themselves under the ground, as some just ran around in circles on the coast not knowing what to do.
“Ragna, look!” Katie pointed out to the sea. A long towering figure of water was rushing towards them—a giant wave. Ragna, Katie, and Alakazam didn’t have time to panic for they were surprised that a wave suddenly appeared out of nowhere and they didn’t know what to do. All they could do was to wish for the wave to go away, which is of course, impossible.
The wave was approaching the coast, the island. Katie grabbed a Pokeball from her blouse’s pocket and threw it as fast as she could in the air. Releasing a white light, it revealed a purple star-like Pokemon that had an amazing red jewel on its center.
It was getting nearer and nearer, the sound was intense—you wouldn’t hear your own voice yelling. Katie voiced out a command to Starmie until its jewel began to glow with a shiny color. Seconds later the wave swallowed up the whole island. Ragna and Alakazam were knocked unconscious.
“Ragna, wake up!” Katie called out to her again. Ragna opened his eyes and to his surprise, all four of them were enclosed in a force field created by Starmie, which was powered by Alakazam so that both of them could carry all of them. He turned his head around to see where they were: below the sea.
Massive amounts of water were surrounding them, as well as water Pokemon living under the sea. Blue fishes were streaming at the sea, along with long kite-like Pokemon that were above the Remoraid. He was surprised that they had survived the tidal incident earlier. He couldn’t even open his mouth in amusement. Katie just giggled as she watched Ragna gasping at every sight he could see.
“This is amazing, we’re under the sea!” Ragna yelled out.
“What’s more amazing is that we’ve survived the giant wave, thanks to Starmie.” She looked at Starmie, whose core was starting to blink slowly.
“Uhh, Katie, Starmie is getting tired. We need to rise now,” Ragna told Katie as she nodded silently in return. The force field began to rise up as the two were still amazed at the sight until another problem catches their attention.
The force field was caught in a rushing stream of water that led to the bottom parts of the sea. Starmie and Alakazam tried to keep the Force Field intact because the stream was too fast that it made Starmie and Alakazam exert more efforts.
“What’s happening!?” Katie shrieked in horror.
“We got trapped inside a stream!” Ragna shouted back in return.
The stream felt like it would never end. A minute has passed already and yet they were still inside the stream. The two began to worry and started to think what would happen to them at the end of it. Starmie’s jewel blinked faster. It was getting tired enough to prevent water from entering the force field.
“Alakazam, use Recover on Starmie!” Ragna commanded as Alakazam pointed the spoon on his right hand on Starmie. Both of them shined a greenish color, Starmie’s energy was slowly increasing.
“Keep that up, Ragna! At this rate, we could still survive for a minute or two!” Katie hoped.
They were still trapped in the speed of the rushing water. Katie could see a large shadow beneath them; it looked like a large castle-like figure with several towers surrounding it. She wouldn’t get her hopes up. It could be due to the dizziness that the stream had caused. She called out to Ragna to make sure that she wasn’t seeing things.
“Ragna, look at that.” Katie pointed once again, this time, at the large shadow beneath them. Ragna wiped his eyes so that he would know if he was dreaming or not. But the shadow was becoming clearer and clearer as the stream began to slow down.
“Okay Alakazam, you can exert less effort on the field now, as well as you can now stop Recovering Starmie.” Ragna continued to look at the shadow as Alakazam sat down on the field, using only one hand to keep the field intact.
They entered a giant hole, which only allowed air and some travelers inside, as water cannot penetrate inside the hole. They sat on a bluish diamond platform that led them down towards a small hallway with giant pillars that stood tall and strong on the sides. They tried to stand so that they could take a better look on what they were seeing. All of them stepped away from the platform as it rose back to where it came from.
“Amazing, where are we?” Ragna gasped in surprise. The place was marvelous; there were figures that were marked on the stony hallway. The bottom part of the pillars was mostly covered in seaweed while at the top of the pillars were floating red gems—it looked exactly like Starmie’s red gem.
The sight has taken the breath out of Katie and Ragna. They continued to walk on the sleek path as the dark blue castle was starting to appear on their eyesight. It was shining beautifully because most of its rooms and towers had red gems that were placed on it. Even without sunlight, it could shine as bright as it could.
“This place is packed with red gems. I mean, look at it!” Katie complimented. Nonetheless, she was right: at the end of the hallway were two mermaid-like statues that had red gems for their eyes. They were holding a trident that pointed towards the peak of the castle. Behind the right status was a sign that read ‘Atlantis’.
“Atlantis!?” Ragna jumped in surprise.
It was true. All of those tales about Atlantis was incredibly true. Seconds later Ragna and Katie heard a small splash. They checked the sides of the hallway only to see Starmie splashing at the water to restore some of its health.
“Starmie could use a bath,” Katie giggled as they watched Starmie bathe on water.
The two decided to rest for a while and tried to talk about what has currently happened in the past hour. First, it was them resting on the coasts of Atlanta until a huge wave swallowed them alive. Then, they had their first breath-taking sight when they saw different species of Pokemon roaming underwater until a speedy stream caught them and eventually led them to Atlantis.
Starmie was soaked and refreshed, it jumped out of the water and wiggled the water out of it to dry itself up. Ragna grabbed Alakazam’s Pokeball and retrieved it back inside the ball, same with Katie: she took Starmie’s Pokeball and decided to let it rest for a while as the two of them would continue their way exploring Atlantis.
“Where do we head now?” Ragna questioned as he scractched his chin and looked up.
“Well, for starters we could go inside the castle,” Katie suggested as she grabbed hold of Ragna’s hand and made a run towards the castle.
They ran until they had reached the entrance to the castle. The gates were coated in gold as they stood on a circle platform that had an image of a god-like person that looked like as if he was sleeping with a trident. No doubt it was Poseidon, just looking at the length of the image’s beard and long hair. There were a few tridents that surrounded the circle platform as well.
“Ragna, did you hear that?” Katie asked as a thunder-like sound emanated from the trident spears. Small thunderclouds appeared below the spears as it made them rose a few inches above the ground. Katie hugged Ragna tightly, too nervous on what might happen next. They watched the moving spears on what it would eventually do next.
All of the spears merged together to form a single golden spear. It pointed itself towards the golden door until a thunderbolt came down from nowhere and strike the spear. The trident was shining with a gold color. Small bubbles were released on the trident’s tips as it went directly towards the golden gate. As the bubbles touch the gate, a part of it started to melt down to the ground until the gate turned into a golden liquid.
Surprised yet again, Katie and Ragna made a run towards the insides of Atlantis. The golden liquid started to solidify as it turned back into a gate—like it was before. The spear on the middle rose up in the sky as it turned into multiple spears again that surrounded the circular platform at Atlantis.
However, the water near the circular platform formed a figure of a woman head, spying on their new visitors. The water rose up in the sky as it revealed a young woman that had two shells on her chest and a golden belt on her waist with thin yellow linen that fell down to the ground. She also had a long tail with two fins at the tip of her tail. With her feet, her watery body went through the gate as it followed Ragna and Katie inside the castle.
Meanwhile, the insides of the castle were entirely different from the way it looked like outside the castle. The walls were painted with a dazzling sky blue color with artifacts and items made with gold. The cloths and cushions of the castle were beautifully designed with their blood red color. Ragna and Katie closed the golden door as they walked at the red carpet that was laid on the center of the castle, which headed straight towards a set of stairs.
“Intruders!” a mellow voice whispered to their ears.
“W-w-who are you!? Reveal yourself!” Katie nervously shouted. Near the stairs was the watery woman that appeared at the circular platform outside the castle gates of Atlantis. Her long braided hair touched the ground as she stood tall at the staircase.
“I have revealed myself, girl. I am a nymph, a guardian of this castle.” Her watery body began to fade away as her body was becoming realistic. Her aqua blue skin stood out at the shiny colors of the castle with her hair having a shade of a darker blue. Her golden belt and cloth on her waist began to gain its true colors as well.
“We’re sorry, we didn’t mean to invade this castle. We accidentally got caught by the stream until it led us here.” Ragna bowed down and asked for the nymph’s forgiveness. Katie didn’t know what to do so she followed what Ragna was doing as she bowed down as well.
The nymph slowly approached them at looked at their faces seriously. She could see that both of them meant no harm at all so she asked them to stand up.
“One of you must be the one who will own the baby star.” She turned her back against them as Ragna and Katie looked at one another with a confused look.
“If I could ask, what’s a baby star?” Katie humbly asked. The nymph pointed her skinny fingers at a painting placed on the right side of the walls inside the castle. It contained a group of Starmie forming a large circle with a brown star that looked like Starmie at the middle of the circle. Its circle sphere shined brightly as a faint beam of light was in front of the Staryu.
“Once in every twenty years, the Starmie gives birth to a baby star. Atlantis will then find a worthy trainer of owning the baby star, eventually challenging that trainer to a battle with the Queen to prove what the trainer’s strength and capability of handling the Staryu,” the nymph narrated the story of their generation.
“What would happen in case that trainer wasn’t able to beat the Queen in a battle?” Ragna asked the nymph next.
“They would be prevented from owning the Staryu as it would be raised here as our own instead. Also, the trainer who lost will have his or her memories here in Atlantis removed as the trainer will be banished from Atlantis, preventing them from coming, seeing, nor remembering this place ever again.” The nymph gave a faint smile at Ragna, which made him nervous.
“If what you say is true, Ms. Nymph, how come we haven’t seen the gist of your numerous Starmie here at Atlantis?” Katie wondered.
“A good question. You see, all of them are located at the inner gardens of this castle, which is why you can’t see them. Unless the Queen grants you an entrance inside the gardens,” the nymph answered back.
“If we may, can you audience us a visit to the Queen herself?” Ragna asked for a favor as the nymph nodded silently in return.
“Follow me, then.” Ragna and Katie had no choice, they started to follow the nymph towards the stairs as they headed towards the west wing. There were statue of nymphs like her on the sides of the corridor, each of them held the same golden trident like the ones outside the castle. Golden chandeliers were hanging at the ceiling, giving a golden light to the corridor.
About every three or four steps there would be a room on the left side, then on the right, and then the sequence follows. Ragna and Katie were too afraid to ask what was inside the rooms as the nymph herself to tell what were inside the rooms. It was nothing but a simple guest room, the furniture inside was still made of pure gold. What surprised them was that who could use the rooms when people hardly ever knew Atlantis at all?
“We’re almost there. How are you doing?” the nymph checked Ragna and Katie so far they were still amazed up ‘til this point on what they were seeing. The nymph giggled to herself as they continued to walk the hallway.
“What’s beyond that door?” Katie broke the silence as she noticed a large arch near them. Beyond the arch was a shiny red door with doorknobs that looked like Starmie’s red gem.
“That, miss, is the Queen’s chambers. You’d best prepare yourselves before we could go inside,” the nymph warned them. Ragna and Katie fixed their clothes and combed their hair using their fingers. They were finished preparing themselves, although they were shaking a bit.
“Calm yourselves down, the Queen isn’t that scary,” the nymph giggled as she finally grabbed hold of the red doorknob and started to open it.
The room was still covered with gold furniture and the walls were still painted with a shiny color of blue. But the Queen was one thing Ragna and Katie hadn’t expected. She appeared to be much younger than the nymph. Her height was that of a regular 8-year old kid. She had the same pieces of clothing as of the regular nymph, but she had a gold and red cape that was laid on her neck that fell down to the ground.
“Undine, what brings these teens to Atlantis?” the Queen’s soft tone reached their ears. It was so beautiful as if the birds were chirping gently on one’s ears. But her serious face was different; she looked fierce enough that the way she would look at a face would pierce right through it.
“My Queen, they seem to got washed by the stream and that led them here.” The nymph bowed down graciously in front of the Queen.
“Arise, Undine. Tell me, has the prophecy begun yet again?” the Queen questioned the nymph, who replied with a silent nod.
“Before we could get to the battling, I have one request, Her Majesty.” Ragna bowed down as well as the Queen made him rise.
“And what would that be, young traveler?”
“I want to visit the inner gardens and see the stars for myself before I could accept Her Majesty’s challenge,” Ragna answered the Queen’s question as she replied with a silent nod as well. She clapped her hands in mid-air as Undine pushed the two of them out of the Queen’s chambers.
“What was that for!?” Katie complained, struggling to be free from Undine’s grasp.
“What Ragna had requested, I shall take you to the gardens to rest yourselves and prepare for the match afterwards.” Undine walked past them and back towards the staircase. Ragna gave Katie another confused look as they had nothing to do but to follow the nymph.
They went past the hallways as they were back right from the start: the main hall of the castle. Undine requested both of them to come down from the stairs as both of them did so. Afterwards Undine stretched out her hands towards the staircase. Each step soon began to go down to the ground, one by one they fell until a silver light shined behind the stairs.
“I present you the inner gardens of Atlantis.” Undine said.
Another breath-taking started to appear within Ragna and Katie’s sight. It was marvelous, small patches of grass covered the loamy soil. It was still covered with water: on it were several Starmie taking a bath for themselves. Katie released her own Starmie in excitement. To her surprise, the gem of the Starmie raised here on Atlantis has a shinier gem than the gem of Katie’s Starmie.
“Their gems are outstanding, are these the gems you place on the castle?” Katie wondered.
“Yes, when these Starmie become too old to live, we take out their core and place it somewhere on the castle so that it would serve as a remembrance of them living here on Atlantis.” Undine went towards the center of the grassy fields to approach the baby star.
“Is this the baby star you were talking about, Undine?” Ragna approached the Starmie for himself.
“Yes, and later this will be the same star that you will fight for. Are you ready?” Undine questioned Ragna’s strength.
Ragna tossed four red and white balls in the air as all of them released white lights forming several Pokemon. The first one revealed a greenish Pokemon that had a red and blue boquet-like thing for hands and had white petals on her head. Roserade raised her arms in the air as it smelled the aroma of Atlantis.
The second Pokeball released a white body that’s shallow on the insides. It had a red ribbon on its chest and her arms are somehow connected to her skull-like figure on her head. Froslass stretched her arms at the Staryu as it let go a gentle gust of snow, tickling Staryu’s body.
The third Pokeball released a light that eventually formed a large blue steel Pokemon that had four large arms. It had a silver cross on its face and its red eyes stared at Ragna confidently. Metagross stomped one of its feet on the ground to release a quick quake.
The final one revealed Alakazam yet again. It crossed its spoons near its chest as it closed its eyes and began to meditate.
“I think you’re ready enough, hold on, I’ll call the Queen.” Undine quickly left them at the garden as she made her way towards the Queen’s chambers. Katie, who was watching Ragna and Undine at the gardens, approached him next.
“I do hope you know what you’re doing, Ragna.” Katie placed her hands on Ragna’s back, patting it gently.
“I know, I cannot lose this one, the fate of the Staryu depends on the match,” Ragna responded back to Katie, who smiled faintly at Ragna. Katie turned her attention to Staryu as Ragna stood up and prepared his Pokemon for battle. He knew it was going to be a hard battle, be he had to win it for Staryu.
“The Queen has arrived, challenger please step out of the garden and approach us at the main hall,” Undine’s voice echoed through the chambers of the castle.
“Good luck, Ragna,” Katie prayed for Ragna as he stepped out of the gardens to see that the Queen was still wearing the same clothes she had earlier and she also had two Pokemon in each hand, having a total of four.
“The rules will be a three on three match. No one is allowed to intervene while the match is going on. Match up will be as follows, the Queen versus the challenger!” Undine announced as the staircases rise once again to prevent the Starmie and the baby star from joining the match.
The Queen was silent, she tossed a gold and light blue Pokeball in the air as it revealed a lavender cat with a gem on its forehead. The tip of its tail was split into two, Espeon was up against Ragna.
“May I take note that these will be a series of one on one match, so the trainer who would twice would keep the Staryu!” Undine added as Ragna pointed his arms towards Espeon, eventually Froslass floated forward, ready to face Espeon.
“Froslass, start things off with Hail!” Froslass floats above as its body turns blue until it suddenly disappears. It appeared in front of Espeon disappeared, taunting Espeon. Seconds later Froslass sticked above in the sky as a thick cloud covered the entire area until hail stones were about to hit Espeon.
“Espeon, use Psychic to control the hail stones!” Espeon yelled its name as its gem glowed immensely as it began to make the hail stones suspend in midair. Then, it released the hail stones towards Froslass.
“Protect then use Double Team!” Ragna quickly commanded as Froslass stretched its arms to the sides until it was protected by a green barrier, evading the hail stones one by one. Afterwards, the green barrier was gone as Froslass surrounded Espeon with multiple copies of itself.
“Destroy all of those copies by using Hidden Power!” the Queen commanded as Espeon closed its eyes until it was surrounded by white spheres of light. Espeon yelled as the spheres blasted off towards each and every one of the copies of Froslass. One by one they disappeared until the Hidden Power reached the real Froslass, sending it towards one of the golden pillars near the walls of the castle.
“You can do it Ragna!!” Katie cheered as Froslass tried to stand up and battle back.
“Froslass use Blizzard then follow it up with Ominous Wind to strengthen the Blizzard!” Ragna made a combo attack as Froslass made its way to execute the commands.
Froslass held its hands as a giant sphere started to appear in front of it. Releasing it, it turned into a strong gust of wind mixed with snow. Then, Froslass stretched its arms forward so that it could release a repulsive purple wind. Mixing with Blizzard, the strong gust became intense that it tossed Espeon towards the other side of the room.
“Your strategies are intense, trainer. But you shall feel mine next, Espeon use Future Sight then stall Froslass by using Signal Beam!” the Queen commanded as Espeon dashed to return back to the Queen as it closed its eyes until a soft gust of wind breezed inside the room.
“Froslass use Sucker Punch before it could perform Signal Beam then use Powder Snow to prevent Future Sight from attacking you.” Froslass quickly sprang into action. Espeon was about to open its mouth as a rainbow colored ball was appearing until Froslass arrived and punched Espeon directly in the face, tossing it back to the walls once again.
Then Froslass’ body glowed with another blue aura as a gentle gust of snow shielded her while some of the gust attacked Espeon. Later a purple ball approached behind Froslass but the Powder Snow shielded her from the attack, fainting Espeon too.
“This round goes to the trainer!” Undine applauded as Ragna retrieved Froslass back to its Pokeball.
“Hurray, you did it Ragna!!” Katie rejoiced.
“Lets not rejoice just yet, we still need to win once more,” Ragna replied as the Queen gave Ragna an applause and a smile.
“Well done, trainer. Let’s see how you’ll do with this one.” The Queen tossed another golden Pokeball in the air, revealing a Starmie.
“I must say that you surely have a thing for gems, I’ll choose Roserade in this fight!” Roserade stepped forward as the battle began.
“Let me do the honors this time, Her Majesty. Roserade use Sunny Day then unleash a Weather Ball at Starmie!” Roserade nodded in agreement as she raised her arms in the sky as a yellowish ball raised and lighted up the hall with heat. Afterwards a white sphere was growing larger and larger in front of Roserade until it unleashed it towards Starmie, the sun-like sphere engulfed the Weather Ball in flames as it made its way towards Starmie. It reached Starmie and eventually sent it pushing back near the Queen.
“You think that damage is enough? Think again, trainer. Use Recover then amaze your opponent with Swift!” Starmie’s gem released a radiant light until it was covered with a greenish aura. It was all recovered and ready for more action. It began to spin around in circles, confusing Roserade as bits of star-like pieces were shot from Starmie’s gem and made its way towards Roserade, sending it back as well.
“Ragna, you can do it!” Katie kept on cheering as Ragna smiled in return.
“Okay, time for another combo, Roserade. Use Petal Dance and include Synthesis while you’re at it!” Roserade went to the center of the hall as it spread its arms out white then began spinning in a rapid motion, releasing a large number of petals that almost covered the room. While Roserade was spinning, its body began to glow with a green color, recovering the health it lost while it performed Petal Dance and the damage dealt by Swift.
The petals reached Starmie little by little until it caused severe damage to Starmie, making its gem blink incredibly fast. Roserade was finished using Petal Dance as it stepped on its feet to regain balance.
“Let’s grab this opportunity, Starmie. We’ll make our own combo using Bubblebeam and Rapid Spin!!” the Queen commanded as Starmie tried to get back up and attack Roserade. It began to lie down horizontally as bubbles emerged from its core while it’s spinning rapidly towards Roserade. The bubbles acted as a shield because most of them covered Starmie while some rose to the castle’s roof. The bubbles and the spin contacted Roserade as it tossed it over towards the staircase.
“Isn’t this fun? Now let’s finish this by mixing Power Gem and Hydro Pump, Starmie!” Starmie jumped back as the core released a fast stream of water while small pieces of shiny gems circled the stream of water, making its way towards Roserade.
“Roserade, quick while the sun is still there, jump and run to evade the mixture of combos!” Ragna commanded as Roserade tried to get back up as fast as it could and jumped high enough to avoid the water and ran towards Ragna.
“Continue aiming, Starmie!” the Queen added.
“Use Protect and overpower that water and make your way towards Starmie’s core then use Solarbeam at it!” Ragna shouted as Roserade enveloped itself with a green barrier and tried to overcome the gushing water. Almost at the core, Roserade released one of its arms as it glowed with a white color until it released a strong white beam, absorbing the sun’s power. It stopped the Hydro Pump and the Power Gem as it tossed Starmie to the other side of the hall, unconscious.
“Hurry and use Synthesis, before you could faint!” Ragna added as Roserade crossed her arms in her chest and absorbed the sun’s power as it glowed with a green color and Roserade recovered enough.
“And the winner is the challenger! Best of regards in behalf of the Queen!!” Undine announced as Katie ran towards Ragna and rejoiced together. The Queen retrieved Starmie and slowly approached Ragna.
“It was a remarkable fight, I had a hard time with you and your neverending combos. It was fun, indeed. You had proven yourself worthy for keeping the baby star.” The staircase behind them began to open once more, granting passage to the baby star. Ragna, Katie, and the Queen approached the baby star as it was carried around the Queen’s arms. Later, Undine arrived at the scene, holding Staryu’s golden Pokeball lying on a red cushion.
Ragna quickly grabbed hold of the Pokeball as it started to retrieve Staryu inside the Pokeball. He shaked the Queen’s arms in return, as well.
“Well done, may Staryu prove itself useful to your team,” the Queen smiled in return.
“But, how do we get back to the island that the wave swallowed?” Katie remembered.
“Oh don’t worry, when you get back everything would feel like a dream. But the difference is you shall always have your memories here at Atlantis in your minds, although when you get back you cannot pronounce that name to anyone. Are we clear with that?” the Queen made an agreement as the two nodded silently.
The two made their way outside the castle, crossing over the golden gates of Atlantis and the circular platform until they’re back at the hallway. They turned their backs to take a final look at Atlantis, promising to keep their experience here as a secret. Slowly they began to walk at the hallway with the golden Pokeball at Ragna’s clutches, the two made their way safely towards the diamond platform that would eventually lead them back to where it all began—at the southern coasts of Atlanta.
