Yay for my first battle! Nothing too outrageous hereexcept for Zolar not getting the SpAtt rise on Charge Beam lol!and Felly simply had the upper hand with Espeon at the start, allowing her to pick the right mon to counter Crobat. However, Crobat had some moves to counter her Donphan that Felly wasn't expecting, so Zolar managed to pull the lead and take the win.

Magnesium (Infernape, Sceptile, Gyarados) vs. Airik (Cradily, Serperior, Volcarona)
The first two pokemon skirmishes were pretty even, with Sceptile pulling out a KO against Serperior. However, when Volcarona came in and got the chance to set up, it gained some pretty terrifying stat boosts before MG's Sceptile could KO it. Gyarados came in and tried statting up, but Volcarona took the opportunity and statted up even more. Airik was hoping for a burn on Fire Blast to keep him alive, but he ended up missing the Fire Blast, leaving Gyarados open to KO with a Waterfall. Good game!

Challenger Felly (Houndoom, Dragonite, Swoobat, Gallade) vs. Eterna Gym Leader Airik (Sceptile, Ferrothorn, Abomasnow, Ludicolo)
Felly was playing pretty well, avoiding and phazing most of Airik's pokemon until Airik had already sent out his four pokemon when Felly had only sent out two. She then picked her pokemon to counter the ones she hadn't KO'd, but the increased speeds of Scarf'd pokemon really tore apart Felly's team. Good game!

MG tried setting up with Haxorus, but a Will-o-Wisp from Washtom stopped it from getting any major attack boosts. Then, when MG continued trying to boost his Dragon, Nitro Volt-Switched out to Skarmory. It was downhill from there for MG, so sent out his last few pokemon and forfeited since he was tired.

Challenger Airik (Politoed, Rotom-Mow, Serperior, Jolteon) vs. Opelucid Gym Leader Soulmaster (Kingdra, Druddigon, Garchomp, Flygon)
Looked like it could've gone anywhere from the first few moves, but once Airik was able to put a halt to Soulmaster's team by means of status, Soulmaster slowly started slipping out of control. Plus, Soul's primary counters for Jolteon (Flygon and Garchomp) were both 4x weak to Jolteon's Hidden Power. It looked like Soulmaster might get even again by taking out Rotom and putting a dent in Politoed, but a Twave halted that, and Airik stalled his way out as Perish Song took both him and Soul. However, Airik still had an alive and healthy Serperior, so he won. Good game!

Magnesium (Charizard, Leafeon, Hydreigon, Roserade) vs. Taither (Gallade, Swampert, Blaziken, ?????????)
Gallade unsuspectingly encored Charizard into Dragon Dance. MG tried outlasting the Encore, but when Gallade got the boost off of Bulk Up, he knew he couldn't handle it. Charizard switched out for Leafeon, which Gallade was able to 2hko while receiving minimal damage. MG was silly and had Hydrei use Dragon Tail (WHICH I KNOW IS -6 PRIORITY WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?!) but Gallade was able to OHKO with Close Combat. Charizard came back in and put an end to Gallade, but then Swampert came in, taking out Charizard, but not before Charizard put a massive dent in it. Roserade came in, hoping to end the poor mud-frog thing, but Taither tricked MG and switched out to Blaziken! Blaziken was then able to OHKO Roserade precisely with a Blaze Kick. Good game!

Challenger Felly (Espeon, Mr. Mime, Swoobat, Metagross) vs. Canalave Gym Leader Taither (Scizor, Steelix, Bastiodon, ????????)
Felly wanted to get some extra practice in before she took place in the gym leader tourney, but her strictly psychic pokemon weren't able to put much of a dent into Taither's pokemon. It took both Espeon and Swoobat to force Scizor to switch, and it took Swoobat, Espeon, and Metagross combined to finally be able to take out the Steelix. Taither sent in Bastiodon and was goofing around with it, which Felly took advantage of, but Bastiodon was able to retaliate with a well-timed Metal Burst to KO the Metagross. Good game!

Felly was doing well with countering Loyal Arcanine's pokemon by switching as he switched, but once Rhyperior was able to get a speed boost off of Rock Polish, it was then able to take out Felly's team single-handedly. A counter took out Gallade after it used Leaf Blade, and Earthquakes took out Felly's two remaining pokemon before they could retaliate. Good game!

Airik (Jolteon, Rampardos, Volcarona, Sceptile) vs. The Pokemaster (Infernape, Slowbro, Mismagius, Whimsicott)
Game started with Infernape against Jolteon, and Airik over-predicted an EQ and went for a Magnet Rise while Nape was able to set up some Stealth Rocks, which would later be essential in taking out Volcarona. Jolteon par'd Infernape while Nape Calm Minded. Jolteon Agilitied (Airik was wanting to Baton Pass to his Glass Cannon, Rampardos) while Infernape went to deal some damage with Flamer. Predicting a switch of some sorts, Pokemaster used Close Combat, which took out Rampardos and its stat boosts. Sceptile came in and dealt some massive damage, taking out Infernape, Slowking, and severely denting Mismagius before it was killed, but Missy was soon KO'd by Jolteon. Things were looking grim for The Pokemaster, but some smart playing with Leech Seed, Substitute, Protect, and Giga Drain, Pokemaster was able to pull out KO's on both Jolteon and Volcarona, managing to stay at nearly full health while doing it. Good game!

Bumblebee (Ambipom, Druddigon, Togekiss, Whimsicott) vs. Ash K. (Sableye, Scrafty, Alakazam, Xatu)
First few skirmishes were relatively even, with Ambipom and Druddigon KO'ing Sableye and Druddigon/Togekiss KO'ing Scrafty. However, things started look like they were going downhill for Bee when his Togekiss was Encored into Aura Sphere against Alakazam. Bee switched out to Whimsi and Ash K. switched out to Xatu. Whimsi was able to deal just enough damage to Xatu before falling in battle. Whimsi was actually so precise that after it died, an Ancientpower from Togekiss was able to KO on the dot. Before dying, Xatu used Me First to deal some damage to Togekiss, but it wasn't enough to take out Togekiss. Plus, Togekiss got the boost from Ancientpower, making it more than capable of KO'ing Ash's Alakazam. Good game!

Challenger Taither (Scizor, Blaziken, Crobat, Togekiss) vs. Eterna Gym Leader Airik (Whimsicott, Sceptile, Rotom-Mow, Ludicolo)
At the beginning of the battle, Taither sent in his Scizor in rain, which Airik knew to be a deadly combination. As such, he did something rather unpredictable and used Sunny Day, which allowed Scizor to start to set up. Encore, however, put a stop to Scizor's potential sweep, forcing Taither into Blaziken. Blaziken was still able to deal major damage to Whimsicott, but Acrobatics from Sceptile with a Flying Gem put a quick end to that. Crobat came in and did its thang, but Rotom was able to KO. Ludi came in, but it wasn't speedy from Rain anymore, so Taither's Togekiss was able to take it out pretty quickly. Rotom came back in and took it out, but Taither still had a healthy Scizor, which was more than capable of taking out the Rotom. Good game!

Challenger SLC (Kingdra, Ludicolo, Ditto, Sceptile) vs. Sootopolis Gym Leader Bumblebee (Sharpedo, Ludicolo, Kingdra, Gyarados)
The beginning of the battle was just about even, as Kingdra's Life Orb recoil KO'd itself as it took out Sharpedo. However, once both Ludicolos were sent in, Bee got the upper hand by KO'ing SLC's Ludicolo before it could KO his. Imposter Ditto took Ludi's boosts and KO'd faster with Choice Scarf Seed Bomb, but Bee's Kingdra was sent in and effectively stopped Ditto in its tracks. Ditto switched for Sceptile, but Kingdra was able to KO it before taking extreme damage. Ditto came back in, now "impostering" Kingdra and started spamming Outrage, but Gyarados was able to promptly take it out with an Outrage of its own. Good game!

Challenger Felly (Espeon, Dragonite, Gallade, Mienshao) vs. Pastoria Gym Leader Nitro (Rotom-Wash, Kingdra, Swampert, Gyarados)
Nitro messed up early on by trying to stay in with his Rotom-Wash while Espeon set up, but he promptly switched to Kingdra and put a halt to Espeon. Dragonite came in and nearly KO'd Kingdra as it used Dragon Tail, forcing out Swampert. Swampert stalled out Dragonite and used Torrent to be able to deal enough damage to Dragonite without dying beforehand. Gallade came in and killed Swampert with a quick Leaf Blade, and it also took out Kingdra with an unexpected Feint. Gyarados came back in, dropped Gallade's Attack with Intimidate, and Rotom switched in before Gyarados could be too badly hurt. Washtom was able to take out Gallade before it could KO with Leaf Blade, which forced Felly into her last mon, which she chose to be Mienshao. Gyarados dropped Attack once again and was then able to take out Mienshao with Waterfalls without having to worry. Good game!
