YES, Pokemon is serious business! Do you plan to have the Dojo the same as the BMG one? Like members that joined after a certain date and TPW members? Unless there are other methods of Dojo. But the Dojo is the simplest way because it is type only.

The bolded statement is part of the plan I had. Also, before we start strictly calling it, "Dojo", I do plan on coming up with a different theme, but for now, we have no other name for it. Anyway, I was kind of playing around with the idea of basing it on something other than type, but anything I thought of was really too messy to work out, so I decided to just do it by types.

Right now I'm most concerned with:

1. Picking an appropriate number of "Dojos" proportionate to our estimated TPW activity. This ones tricky.

2. The theme.

Thats really all there is to it tbh. It'd be nice if I could get someone to make some kind of sprites for the "belts/badges" or whatever. That'll be much later on however.

Same dojo system as was when BMGf branch was launched i.e 16 gyms of different types with Dojo Master, only allowed for people joining after a certain date on any forum. It worked well for us newbies when we started.

Some people wanted the dojos to be open to everyone near the end of its life span, but i think it would be better if it was kept for new members only for the whole duration.

As for adding stuff, maybe a bracket tournament for dojo leaders at the end of it, similar to the gym tourney?

TPW doesn't have nearly the member base BMGf has. I'm probably going to scale back from 16.

Dojo leaders were allowed to compete in the Gym Tourney, which occurred a very comfortable amount of time after the Dojo League opened. I don't see a problem with this being the case again. The Dojo league in itself was a tournament, Tournamentception?

I agree that we should scale back. Maybe do about 8? Also, instead of doing solid types, we could do themes like PIRATE GYM or NINJA GYM or HUSNAIN GYM. (Am I old enough to make that joke yet? No? Sorry)

Today, with a few members of the Initial Planning Committee, we were able to decide upon a theme. We went with The Knights of the Round Table ;o

I don't really see how Arena is a theme anyway...
