Do a tournament where inbetween turns, you ask for song lyrics or something and the first person to name the song and the band gets +2 in a stat of their choosing for that turn. AND DO IT AT A REASONABLE TIME IN MY TIMEZONE.
Umm, how about a regular tournament with Wonder Shooter rules? Or even just a Rotation/Triple battle tournament?

There could be a tournament much like Kumquat's rules, lacking the double battle part of it, each trainer could choose one Pokemon to use for each type and the ref would roll types of Pokemon for each trainer to use, depending on how many Pokemon each side would have. Would have to be higher than 3vs3, though, so it isn't as much depended on luck.

Gauntlet style. Everyone will face the people in the tournament and keep going until they lose. Then the next person faces and so on. The longest streak comes in first, and the second, etc.
