Thread: Summer Event: Geo's Journey! (Anna wins Geo's Journey)

Tommorow, Pidge and I will be "new" match type called Geo's Journey. If you've played Halo 3 before, you may understand the concept a little bit, but I'll get straight to the point in rules of the game. The rules are a little complex, so they're outlined below.


Each person will send one Pokemon to battle.

The referee will do a random roll for a legendary Pokemon to use in battle, after the first turn.

The Legend will have +6 in every stat and will attempt to kill the slowest Pokemon in the game as quickly as possible. The
Legend will also be auto-safeguarded and taunted, so it cannot be statused nor use non-attacking moves.

Finally, the legend will be treated as the slowest Pokemon under Trick Room, and attack the fastest Pokemon. (Mewtwo under Trick Room would attack Jolteon, not Bronzong)

Speed Ties will result in a roll to determine who gets attacked.

The Legendary Pokemon is not invincible, however if it is killed another Legend will take the place of it next turn, along with the +6 in every stat.

Pokemon that are alive can kill each other, turning the victim into a beta Pokemon.

A Pokemon killed by the Legend will become a beta Pokemon, with a -3 in every stat . Beta Pokemon cannot attack the Legend, nor other Beta Pokemon. The goal of being a Beta Pokemon is to take down others with you. If a trainer of a beta Pokemon leaves, then a co-referee will assume control of that Pokemon, or a trainer who is not currently playing. If you are somehow KO'd again while being a beta Pokemon, you cannot move for two turns.

The Journey will last until there is only one Pokemon who is not a beta!


Money:

The first Pokemon to get turned into a Zombie will get $1000, as well as the second and third. Money will increase by $500 every time a Pokemon is KO'd, until the last is left alive. The trainer of a Beta Pokemon may increase their money by $500 with every living Pokemon they zombify.


Geo's Journey will be organized tomorrow at 2PM central time at latest, and hosted on IRC.

I'll be co-refereeing this. Any questions?

1. Does the Beta Pokemon still have its legendary?
2. Does a Pokemon become a Beta Pokemon if its killed by another Pokemon and if its killed by a Legendary?
3. So Legends always attack first, and go after the fastest pokemon, while your Pokemon always attacks what it wants?

1. What do you mean? The Legendary always exists, except on turn 1.
2. Yes, you become a Beta Pokemon either way.
3. The legend will have Speed+6 (or Speed-6 in Trick Room) and will hit the slowest Pokemon (or fastest Pokemon in Trick Room).

What Time Zone are you in?

I still find this pretty confusing. I think some parts need rephrasing, but I get the general jist of things.

You do realize that for a good amount of people, you posted that today, and you said the tourney is tomorrow. And Kaiser, I realize I was mistaken. For EST, it is 3 PM. Whoops.

Also.. Who decides what moves the legend uses? and will it know all learnable moves (i.e. TM, HM, SM, MT, BM)??
