Thread: URPG General Chat/Questions/Suggestions

(Yes, I'm new here. And you must answer my newb-y questions. >:D)

I'm interested in joining, and have had quite a bit of experience with play-by-post RP'ing on other websites; but they were all slightly different from this. :) The signup, rules, chat, etc. were all on one main thread. If anybody could give me a brief explanation as to how this all works, I'd appreciate it. ^^

The URPG is made up of five sections: The General section contains the shops where you buy things, an area for you to save your stats, and is a general noticeboard for important things. The Battles board is where you can find other people to battle and tournaments to participate in. The Story board is where you write and post short fan fiction stories to obtain new Pokemon. The National Park is where you do the post-by-post roleplay, also to obtain new Pokemon. Finally, the Contest board is where you can take part in the old R/S/E contests with other participants, in addition to some exciting new versions.

In general, you start with a Pokemon, battle to earn money, then buy moves and new Pokemon with your earned money. You can only buy a few different species though, and some you need to write / roleplay for.

If I can give you one piece of advice, it's to get AOL Instant Messenger, or log onto it through eBuddy or something. 80% of the URPG's activity takes place through AIM. If you end up making a profile, feel free to contact me with any questions, my AIM chatname is ChainReactionRPG.

Seriously though, it's nice to see some new people in URPG.

I used to be REALLY active, but then I took a Skyrim to the knee.

I used to like memes, but then they took an arrow to the knee meme and RUINED EVERYTHING.

Good chance that I start URPGing again, hate/like/comment/discuss.
