Unfortunately no, we can't impose any rules that force members to use AIM or in any other way disadvantage those who only have access to the forums.
I suppose that's true, though these weren't forum only members. Can we at least set a time limit on it so it doesn't drag on too long?
All forum battles should already have a time limit, although it generally isn't enforced. The battle with Mubz was a one off that was not dealt with quickly.
Re: URPG General Chat/Questions/Suggestions
I'm REALLY confused right now.
According to Bulbapedia, Protect has a 50% decay with no minimum success rate. However, the other similar moves, Detect, Endure, Quick Guard, and Wide Guard, all have a 50% success rate if used successfully the previous turn. Does this mean the moves actually work differently, and if so, how does swapping between them affect Protect's success rate? Or are some of the Bulbapedia articles wrong?
I checked Smogon's Protect and Detect articles. They both say what Bulbapedia says for Protect, but the description is word for word identical so it is possible they assumed it was the same and just copy/pasted. Their Quick Guard, Wide Guard, and Endure pages also all say it decays constantly (until a very low minimum) however.
Someone should try to confirm this somehow because Protect and Detect are very widely used in URPG.

Contest Credits can only be used in the contest section. Regular money is for everywhere else.

To explain a little further: You can use regular money to buy some of the things in the Contest section, such as berries. However, there are Pokémon available in the Berry Store that can ONLY be purchased with Contest Credits. Contest Credits CANNOT be used outside the Berry Store, however.

Smogon's pages say that Protect and Detect both have a minimum (albeit one that would be annoying to work out practically in URPG), which begins on the 8th time it's used and every successive turn.
As far as I knew, BW caused all of those moves to have a 100% success rate followed by a fixed 50% success rate for each successive turn, and the moves were interchangeable. Could it be that it was changed due to B2W2? I'm not familiar with those games so idk if there were any other mechanics changes?

In Revolution and BW Revolution, where teams are sent before the battle, it works the same as it does in game (disguising as last in party). In BW it would presumably work the same way, however since everything after the initial sends are sent publicly everyone knows it's a Zorua/Zoroark anyways. In GSC/RSE/DPPt, I don't think we've worked out exactly how it works but since everyone knows it's a Zorua/Zoroark anyways because of public sending it only matters in the case of Transform or Imposter. In B2W2 I honestly have no clue and we need to figure this out.
