URPG Expansion Memories.



This thread is to outline every body’s favourite memories in their time in URPG. This is mostly focusing on the expansion opening at BMG Forums. What are your favourite memories of us expanding?

PE2Ker’s should talk about their time at the beginning of the expansion, and what they think today. Memories of certain Battles, etc.

BMGer’s should talk about their memories of the URPG in general. Anything that comes to mind. A Favourite battle? Story? Friendship Memory?

Post in this thread and the Staff will post this to TPW. This will show them how much love we have here and what big happy family the communities of both forums have become. Keep it clean guys, anything the Staff do not find respectable as a great memory will not be included. For example, flame wars, Banning, being rejected a Gym that kind of thing.

jk, I enjoyed meeting you all and watching you turn from newbies into WONDERFUL MEMBERS.

I think one of my fondest memories, and of which there are many, was how unprepared we were for the influx of so many stories.

We figured that the shortage would be Refs considering how critical battling was to the URPG, so extra effort was put to ensuring we had enough people to run the battles. Unfortunately, we underestimated the number of Graders we would need.

I definitely remember fun chats with George, Kat and Scourge regarding the insane number of submissions slowly piling in the Stories section. So many would be graded each day only to see even more added to the list. It got to the point where stories wouldn't be graded for months upon months, a bit of a dilemma since new members were so eager to capture new Pokemon. I hope we didn't inconvenience too many people.

Looking back on it all now, it was pretty comical. I'm just glad we finally managed to catch up... more or less.

Basically the best memories were the battles and the conversations between these guys, namely the people I was closest to the most in the URPG:

ShadowJake, Timpeni, Ragnarok0422, Eeveedude, Bulbasauraus, MuddyMudkip, eternus_situs, the pokemaster and Buoysel.

Writing my first story, which was for a Magikarp, was also memorable. That, and the number of times I've pestered refs to ref battles for me, lol.

How I tried desperately to keep Pe2k with equal opportunities but then saw it was pointless ):

The multiple times I challenged the same gyms/dojos over and over again, losing every single time xP

My entire reffing career, which can simply be summed up by this one battle right here. Yes, I have very vicious dice.

Aside from this I like the interesting and nice people I've met, and got to know around here.

Best memory: Not being on bmg
Worst memory: being on bmg


Mediocre memory: being the most fly knee grow on the forum.

My favorite part of my time on BMG/URPG was meeting my best friends (WONT LIST BECAUSE I'LL FORGET SOMEONE AND ARGH), which wasn't an experience I'd had before (All my friends were CATS). I also really have enjoyed my time as a grader, writing ('specially the Musical), and of course, reading through My Immortal and other fanfic with URPGers.

Also those bread puns were pretty wheat. (Oh, God, it's starting again.)

-Dojo Sensei Tea Room
-The huge split in it that was just hilarious
-The "Annoying Ash" game
-Massive Forum FFA
-Being such a noob Ranger with feats such as making Hikaru write 25k for a Kirlia before realising I didn't even roll for it
-Being even more of a noob
-Challenge Dojos and Dojo Master battle. Ebail's challenge where he got par-raped by Trode was pretty badass
-Getting gifted a Togepi as my first gift, and on my birthday by Thunder
-The time I wrote a ridiculous essay complaining about the Grader Test
-Running a Park Auction
-URPG Dungeons prep
-Leaving, rofl
-The Pidge dictatorship
-FFA tourney
-Gym tourney
-Second FFA tourney
-Realising how crazy Alaska is
-Furries
-Ebail's dice. How I hate them
-Outer Heavens getting nuked
-Realising how much better real life is @_@
-Hilarious AIM chats, but these were rare because European timezone sucks
-Many bannings
-TED's avatar and me thinking it was actually him
-Realising May wasn't actually a female before half of the vets. Hue hue hue!
-Catchphrases
-So many Electric stuff, like serious ._.
-Discovering Imgur, 4chan and so many other delightful websites
-The clear divide between pe2k and BMGf and how cruel they were to us ;-;
-Making long lists people don't read

Ive had alot of memories here, but ill post a few.

-Coming 5th in my 2nd ever FFA
-making some great friends
-going throug the park, i love that place xD

I know I have more, but im tired at the moment. :P

Meeting a LOT of great people, like I can't even name them all.
Getting a ref licence (hopefully soon being a whole ref)
Getting my first gym
Getting my first NUKEM

Its been a great run, lets make it even better.

I remember going for like a week around that time and came back to see the whole forum gone and everyone on pe2k. It wasn't funny at all at the time, but looking back...
