Your starter is a free Pokemon, but you can write as many stories as you want. We've got a whole section for it :) Check this list out for all the different Pokemon you can get, and how hard it is to get them.

Sorry man. Sableye is a good choice but you have to choose a Pokemon that has at least one stage of evolution (like Rattata or Chimichar but not Pokemon like Tropius).
