...wouldn't the usual tactic be voting for Phoenicks in such case? Especially when there's already a vote on Nick. xD
Wish I could come up with creative mafia game mechanics. Having a different mechanic is much more interesting than creative roles as a whole....even if they interrupt my studying.../lame college student

I'm planning on using an underused mechanic for my BW!2 Mafia if anyone cares. Private communications can only happen in the Night Phase, where the thread will be closed to disallow further posting. The Mafia can still talk in their QT in the Day Phase. Thoughts? (hey wait a minute, has it actually ever been used?)

I believe this used to be commonplace, though I actually think making the Mafia also only communicate privately during the Night Phase would be very interesting. It would make sense flavor-wise, sense they can't be both conversing publicly with the Town and conversing privately someplace else at the same time. They would have to plan ahead and get their story straight during the Night without being able to double-check with each other once the Day Phase starts.
