The problem with the first two episodes of both seasons (and the last two episodes of Season 2) is that they're two-parters. The rest of the episodes can all be watched on their own independently of each other and in nearly any order. Personally, I'm a fan of the episodes "Dragonshy" and "Suited for Success" from season 1 and "Luna Eclipsed," "Sweet and Elite," and "Hurricane Fluttershy" from season 2, while one of the show's most iconic songs comes from the episode "Winter Wrap Up." Personally I hate hurricane fluttershy. x) I found Fluttershy crying was kinda funny though for some reason :I
I'd say some of my favourite episodes are Boast Busters, The Best Night Ever, The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000, A Friend in Deed and A Canterlot Wedding.

Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000 is good if you're in to old-timey Music Man style songs (which, fortunately, I am).

Thankfully most of the episodes - basically all episodes other than the first two for each season - are separate, so you can watch any one of them in any order. It might help the situation :P
I know that feeling though, I'm always saying 'I should catch up with that' 'Okay I'll read that', yet due to schoolwork and work, it just keeps piling up. -w-
I have that same feeling when it comes to books. Right now, I have to finish reading "Los pasos perdidos" by Alejo Carpentier, then I will read "Los detectives salvajes" (The wild detectives), and then "Crime and Punishment".
... I really should get to doing that.
My computer will be back from repair today. Hopefully it will be fixed and I'll be able to join mafia games.
