Exactly. New features, both big and small, are to be added. I'm going by how the test site felt to me, so my word isn't all too trustworthy.

Video embedding is already possible. We just don't have it set for regular users.

Youtube embedding can already occur; its just restricted to certain user groups.

Also guys, some of us may not have italics on the test forums as we didn't have them back in January, but please treat us as if we did.

What we have here isn't direct embedding per se (as in not [youtube]oHg5SJYRHA0[/youtube]), it is the custom HTML posting privilege we're using to paste the embed code. But yeah, it's been possible for mods here too.

So this is supposed to happen pretty soon right? Like, in the next couple of hours from what I heard.

If everything goes as planned, yeah. Expect 1-3 days of downtime once we begin, but after that, everything should be fine. The test forum will be taken down, and the "main" forum (as it is when we begin updating) will be left fully intact.

We are currently waiting on our tech to return to his keyboard so we can begin. When the forum closes, it will do so suddenly. Shouldn't be too long now.
