Thread: Ban Glitch

I got it. When I read that the ban would never be lifted I thought it would be a glitch.

I doubt it. If that were the case, it wouldn't be temporary. I have the Akismet addon for a MyBB forum, and I had to turn the banning feature off when it actually banned me, the admin, for "making too many spam posts".

(And it was a permaban too >_>)

I had this a couple of days ago and had wondered why I was banned but once I refreshed it was gone so I realized I wasn't. I haven't had it recently though.

This thread scares me more than the glitch. I thought at first it meant "ban glitch!" as in "we have to ban the glitch!"

If you see a ban with no reasons specified, it's safe to assume it's a glitch. We always specify a reason.

I believe I have found where the glitch activates!

Has any of us happen to have replied on a blog or post one before we got this ban glitch?

I had just posted a blog before the server locked me out, and then I got the ban notice. At the same time, though, I had a duplicate tab up, and I had posted in the Roleplay forum.

I think the glitch is caused by the blogs.
They got a big upgrade and chances are, a glitch made by this update..

But I've posted in the blogs often (I posted four of my own and commented on a few recently) and I have yet to get this glitch. So if I've posted there a lot why haven't I gotten it yet where as people like Calvin who don't do so have?

Yeah, I posted a blog entry yesterday and replied to it. Also another one today and have replied to it. And I'm yet to recieve this ban glitch. So it can't be that... :/

Nope. I got it randomly when I tried to go to a forum.

Magically, I haven't gotten it yet o_O

it is starting to seem upgrading the forums was a big mistake with serious glitches like these
