To summarize: I applied for 3 positions.

Someone else asked that, don't worry about it, your application is linked to your account, not your username, so you could have changed your name a thousand times and they'll still know that your application is yours.

The drive closes on the 18th and then it will be at least a few days to firmly decide on who is being hired. I'd say the successful applicants will be announced by the 22nd at the earliest, but of course, I could be wrong.

That's fine. We can track down who applied regardless of name changes.

I am wondering:

A person gets chosen to be a mod, but that person only shows up maybe after a week. Then if a person needs to approve the authorization first before the announcement arrives, wouldn't that make a delay for the announcement?

Sorry if that is a little bit unreadable. But I think I have the point there.

Even if it could delay the announcement a bit, the authorization will still be necessary. If it's judged that the mod candidate will not be able to answer for a while, we could announce the other candidates first so as to minimize the inconvenience. Once we announced a few sections' new moderators first, and then announced a second batch. So it's possible that some candidates could take longer to be finalized and be announced to public.

This hasn't happened before; we wait as much as we can.
