    You're right: no.

    But does it really make sense for the "zoro" pun, which is "fox" o'er there, to become "Zorro", which is "Antonia Banderas" here?

    Zorro is far older than Antonio Banderas, I assure you. There is no issue. This pokemon has nothing to do with the character Zorro, nor is it's name implying that. It's a Spanish word, not trying to copy the character.

    "Zoro" is no more fox over there than "fokkusu" is. It's just how they spell the Spanish and English words for what they call "kitsune".

    "Zoro" in Japan is primarily "that guy from One Piece".
