Looks more like you accidentally RNG'd your eggs more than anything. I've only seen two shinies in the wild so far, only captured one (well, if you don't count the shiny Primeape I stole :D), but never have I hatched one. Wish I could.

SoulSilver, going against Suicune.
My Glaceon starts with Ice Beam and brings Suicune to the red zone. Next turn I use Hail, and it's HP goes to 1(empty spot in party). Suicune luckily saves itself by using Rain Dance. 30 Minutes and 50 Balls later, I finally trapped it in a quick ball that I had left. Kinda lucky, but it gets better.
Normally, I don't save after catching a legendary because I don't generally use them, and I like listening to the epic battle music, but this time, I decided to save. The next day, I decided to check Suicune's stats and I saw why.
It's nature is Bold, so it's defense gets a boost, which is really awesome for a poke with already high defense. Since Suicune is not an uber, I am really considering it for my competitive team. The only way it could have been better is if it's Hidden Power was Electric (for the oh-so common Gyarados), which is actually grass. But I can still use it for the Water/Ground typing.
when i have one pokemon left and im on the last pokemon of the leader of the elite four. enemy at full health, i am at half or lower, and my pokemon are at least 5 lvls lower than any of their pokemon. no revives at all. it uses a powerful move (usually earthquake) and it misses. i use a powerful not very effective move (almost always this because of the steel or dragon pokemon in elite four) and i get a crit and win
also when i caught a rayquaza in sapphire with a repeat ball, also a "wait.. what??" moment

wait... WHAT?

I know some guy who caught Heatran like that, nothing all that special really (considering that Dialga's catch rate is higher than a Chatot's >_>) by comparison.
My "quickest" catch would be Groudon in two balls (first was a joke levelball, so you can imagine how that went), and the only time I caught one of his kind in a Pokeball was on my old Ruby. Others are all in repeat, Great, or Ultraballs, save the few in (cloned) Masterballs and Duskballs.

List of Pokémon by catch rate.
Both Dialga and Chatot are 30.

When I beat Cynthia's Last Pokemon with my Torterra that had 10 HP. My friend thinks I cheated to beat Cynthia.![]()
