Trying to catch Scyther in Red in the Safari Zone is currently my "FUUUU- Moment"
I am just relying on luck to run into him, and relying on lucky Safari Ball throws once I see him. My game: "Wild SCYTHER ran","Wild SCYTHER ran","Wild SCYTHER ran","Wild SCYTHER ran","Wild SCYTHER ran","Wild SCYTHER ran".......ARGHHHHHH!

ALSO...on Silver, the first Shiny Pokemon I ran into (EXCEPT RED GYRADOS) was a shiny blue Ditto. I tried catching it. I used my weakest attack. Critical Hit! Wild Ditto Fainted!
ME: "FUUUUU-" Afterwards, I read that you can breed Shiny Blue Ditto with anything except a legendary and get a shiny pokemon. I was devastated!

My very first FUUUU moment was when I was 10(ish) years old.

I was happily playing Leaf Green, surfing along the nice pretty water, when suddenly, a wild Pokemon encounter!

I waited patiently for the music to begin, and I sent my Pokemon out. The wild Pokemon was a shiny Tentacool, and I flipped right out.

Not because it was shiny, no, because I didn't know what shiny Pokemon were at the time, so I freaked out thinking it was a glitch. So, I shut off my game and then reset it.

Years later, I just shake my head at my dumbness.

Actually that isn't true. Shininess does not guarantee that you can automatically breed a shiny Pokemon. You need to breed two Pokemon that are from games of different languages (ie. a Japanese Ditto and an English Cyndaquil) in order to increase your chances of breeding a shiny Pokemon. Even then, your chances are still pretty small.

Not being able to catch a shiny Oddish in Pokemon Fire Red because it was in the goddamn Safari Zone and ran away. : l

Shiny Pokemon in the Safari Zone. Run away every time.

False Swipe. Even a level 1 Pokemon hit by a Critical False Swipe from a level 100 Pokemon will not faint. The only problem is Ghost-types...

This one was recent. I got an extra copy each of black and white to act as "storage" for my other B and W, so I had to delete the preowned data.
Needless to say, I deleted the WRONG WHITE's data, and so I lost half of all pokemon I've ever had since gen III. My reaction:
FUUU---Oh well I can just re-play all RSEPPtHGSS. (note FRLG are redundant, and I have yet to find a Diamond that will NOT go to "the save data cannot be accessed").

This just happened recently.
It's not really a big deal, but I definitely swore like a sailor.

So, there I was trying to find a female Mareep. I needed an electric Pokemon to go up against Falkner.

Of course, I'm picky and I wanted a female Mareep, but for the life of me, not even one would come up.
FINALLY, after 20 minutes of searching, a male Mareep makes an appearance, and I was pretty annoyed at this time, so I caught it.

I decided to level it up, so it was at level 15.

THEN I RUN INTO 6 FEMALE MAREEPS IN A FREAKING ROW.

This happened to me in HG too. Sort of. I wasn't looking for a particular gender or anything, but I just wanted a Mareep and it took so long to find one. Afterwards, I wouldn't stop running into the god damn sheep. WTF...

It just happened again, but with Wooper this time.

I think this is just the game telling us that we need time and patience to be a Pokemon Master.
Or it's a sick cruel joke to annoy everybody.

SolarBeam on Fire-Types...Flareon can't Learn it....FFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I recently was going to try to catch Virizion on Pokemon White. For some weird reason I wasn't thinking and forgot to save before I talked to it. I couldn't reset either because I had caught like 8 pokemon before T.T
