In Silver, my Typhlosion made to about 76, with my other pokes at 50-65 by the time I fought Red.

You're probably lucky he didn't have the Thickfat Snorlax he does now. Focusblast ftw.

I beat Lapras and Blastoise with my Typhlosion, thinking "Yes! All the hardass pokemon are out of the way!"

He had a Snorlax though I believe. Pikachu, lvl 81, a Charizard, Blastoise, and Venasaur at about 75-80, an Espeon, and a Snorlax.

Yeah, I meant abilities didn't exist at the time, lol.

Gen 3 (Bulbapedia's your pal!). Characteristics are what came with the Pokemon in Gen 4.

So that's why my Magnemite got pwned by Earthquake, no Levitate.
