Thread: Your first shiny. How? when? where?

Excluding the red Gyarados, my first shiny was an abra back in my original gold version. I'm glad it only took one ultra ball.

bronzor in diamond - now a bronzong with iron head / extrasensory / trick room / explosion

Shiny Wailmer in Emerald. Now a Shiny Wailord. I'm lovin it! :D

A blue Psyduck back in Crystal. I levelled it up in anticipation of its evolved form... only to see that the Golduck was just a different shade of blue >O (albeit with a pink bill that I couldn't really discern in Crystal). Why couldn't it be a yellow Golduck??

(Then more recently, I caught a golden Hoothoot in SS. Now I can have a shiny Noctowl like Ash does!)

Shiny Shellder in Diamond was my first shiny. My sister had caught a few shinies for me previously, but I had never found one by myself. Platinum was just released in Europe and I was just breeding Shellder for my team. I bred it in my Diamond and Shellder turned up to be a shiny. Shiny Cloyster is so wicked 8).

In Stark Mountain I was leveling my team up on random pokemon until I found a shiny Rhyhorn by accident. Caught it.

Thing is, the very next day when I was leveling on that same spot, I then found a shiny Camerupt and caught that too. I still have both in the PC boxes.

My first shiny that hatched from an egg has to be my shiny Totodile in Heartgold version

My first shiny was a shiny stantler in gold, I was really young and caught it because I wanted a stantler in my team and thought they all had red noses, then when I saw a few more with brown noses I just thought it was something to do with the time of year (I think it was winter time so Christmas themed Stantler :P)

Well now I'm SRing for a shiny Chikorita or Cyndaquil in Soulsilver depending on which is shiny first...I know Chikorita is all yellow and Cyndaquil has a red back instead of a blue back because I already have a shiny Totodile that I'm going to transfer into the game (he stands out the mostest being bright green with blue spikes)

Mine was a shiny spearow in Pokemon Firered, caught it with my last poke ball, there was alot of suspense.

My first shiny was on my leaf green. It was a machop and I was like why is it brown? I thought my game was messed up cause I didn't know about shinys XD
