Thread: Your first shiny. How? when? where?

GSC - Red Gyarados, since it's the only shiny you can get ;.;... though once I *did*, through over 100 hours of searching, find a shiny blue ditto, whereupon I was able to breed a shiny Eevee and a shiny Mareep...

my first shiney was on my gold version, of course i got red Gyarados, might of been a Pidgey

i did catch a shiney Whismur on my Sapphire version though

The first Shiny I saw was a shiny Maril in the Safari Zone of Pearl, It got away, but the next day, I saw a shiny riishan, which I cought and gave to sketch. No shinys since then :(

My first shiny was Totodile, but apart from that I only have a shiny Gyarados (the red one) a shiny houndoom and a shiny roselia

My first shiny pokemon was a purple wobbuffet and the wobbuffets are my faves pokemon. They are awesome!

The first Shiny Pokémon I ever saw, was a Shiny Milotic in the Battle Tube in my Japanese Emerald. The first Shiny Pokémon I ever caught, was a Shiny Hariyama at Victory Road also in my Japanese Emerald.

I have caught a few so have my friends but I have seen heaps of pink ones in the safari zone I've seen 3 pink aipoms in emerald but they all ran away... and a pink pikachu and in fire red I have seen a pink ryhorn and a pink tauros but they ran away aswell...
but I have caught a purple spheal and a black zubat and my friend josh caught a golden poochyena and a green wingull and my friend everett caught a pink raikou...he is soooooooooo lucky and I think everybody caught a red gyarados in gold/silver/crystal!!!!!

My first was, like many people, the Gyarados from G/S/C.
My first wild one was a Shiny Whismur on my Ruby...caught that. I've also had two Shiny Shuppet (both on Emerald) and my mother fainted a Shiny Hoothoot once...-_-

2 minutes later i got the gryados (spelt et wr0ng)

then on leaf green a GEODUDE!, then it use explode o_o

then my little bro on his fire red got a FEMALE ADAMATE shiny caterpie o_o
then he lost the game, losing his shiny butterfreem, and legit mew ;_;

I caught a shiny Geodude, lv. 11 when I was hunting for Moltres. It's now a Lv. 45 Golem. :D

oh yeah im the luckiest person, i got a shiny deoxys, shiny groudon, shiny kyogre, shiny jirachi, shiny metagross, shiny latios, and shiny latias; without the use of any cheating devices. now dont try this but what happened was, my brother adapted somehow the chrager to make it charge faster. but it overloaded the game/systtem and about oh every ten battles or so a shiny pokemon would come up. pretty lucky huh.

Uhm, well my first Shiny encounter was with a rather stubborn Shiny Onix. With the help of a friend, it became a lovely Bronze colored Steelix. J'aime le Steelix! That was on Crystal... on Gold, I had a Shiny Kakuna. I saw a Shiny Venonat on Firered, but damn-it-all, I had no Pokeballs.

Also, I find it odd that people claim to have 'run away' from Shinies on accident; as I recall, you are not allowed to run from Shinies, correct? >_<

If only.. my encounter rate seems to be 1 in a million at this point [still awaits his first wild encounter with a shiny].
