Thread: Your first shiny. How? when? where?

Sentret in silver. But i just caught a shiny golbat on my platnium. After already catching one on my soul silver about a year ago. I mean come on, what are the odds of that?

In Soulsilver, I had just entered Mt Mortar and a shiny Cubone appeared! Of course I caught it. :)

That's the one and only shiny I've found myself, aside from trades etc... and I've been playing since Red/Blue.

In Plat. I caught a Shiny Tropius in the Safari Zone. I named him Littlefoot.

P.S. Am I the only one who has never caught the Red Gyarados??

My first (other than the gyrados of course) was a shiny Rattata I found in Fire Red about 15 minutes into my 5th or 6th run through.

Gyrados at the Lake of Rage. And that's it.

My first (and so far only) was a shiny Joltik I got in Chargestone Cave on Pokemon White. I have little luck :/

No. That is the hardest shiny TO find, even with the Masuda Method.

The first not-Red-Gyrados shiny I ever found was a Geodude in SoulSilver. Even though it's not one of my favorite Pokemon, I was so excited about it! I later traded it to a friend for all of the Kanto/the other Johto starters ^^; (along with fodder, of course, but she really wanted the shiny haha)

I've thought about trying to hatch a shiny, but I just don't have the patience XD;

Gastly, just yesterday, in Leaf Green at the Ghost tower in Lavender Town. STOKED!

Not counting red Gyarados, my first shiny was a shiny Grimer that I caught while surfing on the small patch of water in front of the house next to the game corner in Celedon city in pokemon Gold. Caught it about 2-3 years ago can't remember exactly.

Back in the Gen 2 games, sometimes after gen3 came out but before gen4 I stumbled across a shiny sentret in crystal, was the first pokemon in that playthrough I caught and it stayed on my team until the game's battery died. Was really just luck, I wasn't looking for anything, just happened to cut through the grass and bump into a shiny.
That's excluding the gyarados of course, whom I've caught in every game it appears in, but never used (I don't really like gyarados, shiny or not, so I rarely use them on my team).

Pokemon Black, about a week after beating the game. For some reason I was racing against my brother on his White to see who could get from Nuvema Town, around the whole map and back the fastest. The rules were no biking or flying and you had to beat every wild 'mon who appeared to you. I was almost out of Chargestone Cave when the 25th wild battle started up. I rolled my eyes and prepared to battle it when -holy crap! A shiny Joltik! I screamed and called my brother over (we were sitting at opposite ends of the room with the music off as not to give away our positions) and we abandoned our little challenge.

Later, I evolved it into Galvantula. I was excited to see what the shiny Galvantula looked like, so when it evolved... I stared at the game in disbelief for a few moments before switching it off. You can't even tell it's a shiny unless you look at it closely!

My first one was (excusing the red Gyarados) was a Karrablast I found on Route 6. i was just walking back from Charegstone Cave when BAM. She's now an awsome pink Escavalier. and the day after that i was walking through Viridian forest is SS when i found a shiny Kakuna, who is now and awsome lime green Beedrill in Black.

Shiny Pawniard! On some route, and around a year ago.

Ironically enough my very first shiny that I didn't cheat to get was in Emerald. In Route 102 (I think that's the one between Oldale and Petalburg). Level 3 Female Ralts. The exact Pokemon I was looking for too. And if that wasn't enough it was the first Pokemon besides my starter that I caught.
