Until Platinum came out I always thought Fighting types were weak to Ground. I also didn't really pay attention to stats that well, for example I always used Sceptile as a Physical attacker.

Was doing Super Doubles. Wasn't until I completed 12 battles when I realized my Chandelure's level didn't scale to 50. She was level 44.

Had to halt my run so I could level her up, lol.

I've had a handful of times where I would use a powerful Dragon-type move on a returning Pokémon that is no longer weak to Dragon, i.e, Jigglypuff, Clefable, Granbull, etc.. Usually, I am like, "Hey, I am against a Wigglytuff. Dragon Claw should do a lot of damage!" But when I discover that the attack didn't do anything, I feel dumb as a result. I really need to get used to the type changes of such Pokémon.

I honestly didn't know that Ghost moves could hit Fighting type Pokemon. At least I didn't until I nailed a wild Timburr with a Shadow Punch from a shiny Golurk. I was kinda surprised.

Started a Nuzlocke on Black 2. Was going to save...

Only to realize I forgot to erase my old file before starting the Nuzlocke. That's fine, though: I didn't go that far into it. I can restart.

I know that feeling. I can't tell you how many times I was like, "I going to punch that Wigglytuff in the face," only to have a fighting-type move be not very effective instead of super effective.
Which came first: the Mew or the Arceus?

Doing Battle Institute. My Nidoking vs the foe's Tentacruel. Was going to use Thunderbolt... and hit Ice Beam instead. Cost me that match...

Hah... I can relate to that particular blunder.

Speaking of Ice Beam, I put my Chesnaught in front of one because in a moment of madness, I forgot that he was weak against Ice.

When I use ghost type moves against Girafarig, and I do it very often.
When I hesitate to use TMs in Black, White, Black 2, White 2, X, Y. I always forgot TMs have an unlimited use in these games.

During a passerby battle, I sent out my Bisharp to face a Mewtwo. I forgot that Mewtwo could learn Aura Sphere. >_<

I thought Infestation was a new bug type status (like poison) that was inflicted by a damage dealing move XD I also assumed the terrain moves were weather effects... though they're kind of more like a new thing all together.
