Thread: Why does Cilan Stutter?

In White Chili is hyper and Cress is confident. Cilan stutters a lot which is strange cause I think he's the almost "Hey I'm Cress I use Water Types" "Hey I'm Chili I use red hot Fire-Types!" and "I'm Cilan...and I like Grass Types" he seems nervous which is strange cause' in the cartoon he doesn't act like that at all.

It's a character trait of his. He just does.

Is there a story behind this? I heard it was because he just became a Gym Leader and will the game writers expand on it in the third version?

No... it's just who he is.

It's weird since it the cartoon he aint like that at all. His Spin is completely off from the other brothers' spins. What were they going for Classy, Hyper, and Nervous?

Yeah, I guess he's just that kind of guy. I don't really think it relates to his type specialty like Chili and Cress' personalities do, although I'm not completely sure.

Basicly what Ryuutakeshi said its who he is.

Its like why Clay talks like he does.

It just represents his place in the triplets. Chili is LOUD and is expressive. Cress, however, is calm and talks fluidly with grace and control. So, Cilan is the nervous, somewhat quiet brother. After all, they are like the ego, ID, and superego. Cilan, Chili, and Cress respectively.

The anime and the games do not always match up.

And really, after some thought, I can't say I see this thread blossoming any serious or noteworthy discussion. Cilan stutters because he does. That's life.
