Thread: What is your favorite Pokemon game?

I can honestly say I really can't decide.... There's things I love so much in every game. Emerald's epic region and Battle Frontier, Platinum's awesome story and improved gameplay and HeartGold's nostalgia meter off the charts along with awesome gameplay updates. And then there's Black giving the franchise a fresh update and completely obliterating anyones expectations of a Pokémon game.

I would probably have to say Platinum for its near perfection of the Pokémon formula. It fixed the great Diamond and Pearl's obvious problems and created an incredibly solid RPG.

My favorite is Pokemon White.

Pokemon Battle Revaloution

It's gotta be SoulSilver. I never played Gold, Silver, or Crystal so the nostalgia doesn't effect me but man, SS was great. A lot of my time went into it and it was time well spent.

Pokemon Crystal. It was the first pokemon game I ever owned.

Pokémon Platinum, Sinnoh is my favourite region of the main series games and I like the story line and extra features added in the 3rd version such as the new formes, the Special Regigigas event, Egg Swap, the Wi-Fi Club and the Battle Frontier.

Emerald and B/W.

Emerald was my first game of the series, so that might factor into it a bit, but it's probably the easiest Pokémon game for me to just pick up and start playing again.

Black and White were amazing. The setting was changed, its seclusion was a nice twist (though I wouldn't want it again) and some amount of effort was put into character development. The story was rather enjoyable as well.

Platinum is my favorite without a doubt. D8 The best story, the best characters, the best Pokemon, and so on. I could gush about Platinum all day.

On the spin-off side, I love Battle Revolution and Explorers of Sky.
The former is an excellent battle sim, whatever people say. I barely notice the mad-libs battle dialogue, and seeing my favorite Pokemon (currently Darkrai) in 3D is just the best thing ever.
The latter is one the best and most moving spin-offs ever. I could restart PMD EoS a thousand times over and never tire of the game.

I'd have to go with Pokemon Snap if we were including all of the pokemon games. But if not, then I think Heartgold and Black would be my two most favorite (since I couldn't decide between them).

Pokemon Black for me. I loved the storyline and the Pokemon... well, I could gush for hours about all the wonderful Pokemon in Unova.

Yellow, Silver, Esmerald and Black

Definitely Sapphire! The first Pokémon game I've ever got.
It isn't as "slow" as the new games and I still love it! <3

I could've sworn there was already a thread like this. Oh well, my favs are Black and Platinum. I loved Black for the awesome region, Pokemon, storyline, and Reshiram. Platinum had lots of awesome stuff. An awesome region (my favorite one, in fact. Sinnoh ftw), awesome Pokemon, the Distortion World, Underground, Poketch, and more. <3

My favorite is Soul Silver because Johto is my favorite region and I liked being able to have your pokemon walk with you.
