I'd like to see the opposite gender PC play a role as a rival, as well as a standard rival. Sort of like RSE and DPPt, but with more interaction than a few of random battles. It always made me a little sad that whoever you didn't choose in FRLG just didn't exist. And I really liked having two rivals in BW. They each had different motives and personalities. I'd also like to see the second rival be female, and maybe a bit more like Silver or Blue; caustic and competitive, while the opposite gender PC has more of a friendly, helpful rivalry.

I also hope we'll get more variety in battling music. Hearing the same or very very very similar music for all the trainer battles and wild battles gets boring very quickly. I also hope there will be more music styles for battles. Remember that groovy sound when fighting mirror B in Colosseum? If not then google it because it was great to have something other than some fast upbeat techno like music for once. Speaking of Colosseum I think that game had the best soundtracks for battling in the pokemon series.
Yeah, I'd love to see a variety of different styles like orchestral or rock. Hearing the same style of music in every Pokemon game is getting kind of old.

It would be too taxing on the console. It would far exceed the capablilities of one cartrige, unless the system was downscaled to like GBC style.

I want more islands. And harder battles. The games are getting too easy. Id like it to be a little more chalenging.

I hope there's a Fairy/Fighting Pokemon (now that the Fairy-type is almost confirmed) this generation. I can only imagine how badass it would be.

the one thing I want is that the Gym leaders of this new region actually use mostly Pokemon only native to Kalos! Jotho was such a waste in this regard.

Sure, as long as it's mostly 6th gen Pokemon but a mix of older Pokemon in there as well. Also, the main should be a 6th gen Pokemon.

Oh yeah, Miror B. was a kook. His battle music was made even better by his (almost) all Ludiculo team.

Here, let me save you the trouble of looking it up:
Pokemon Colosseum Episode 30: Cipher Admin Miror B. - YouTube

(And then there's that little matter of his self-proclaimed successor, also with hilarious battle music.)

Miror B was hilarious. I preferred his battle theme in XD. It was catchier... Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness Music- Miror B. Battle - YouTube

I preferred the samba style of his first music to the techno style of the second, but I must confess that his entrance in XD was much more memorable:

As far as music goes, I'd like to hear more rock and whatever else they use in Colosseum, XD, and Pokepark for some of the battle themes and orchestral for the more "intense" ones like the Evil Team Leader, Legendary, and Champion themes.

Here's some examples of some of the music styles I'd like to see:

    Pokepark 2 Battle Theme 1
    Pokepark 2 Battle Theme 3
    Pokemon Colosseum Cipher Peon Theme
    Pokemon Colosseum Cipher Admin Theme
    Pokemon XD Cipher Admin Theme

(About my favorite Pokemon battle music ever.)

The soundtrack really is one thing that made Colosseum feel special compared to main series Pokemon games. XD, too, but Colosseum moreso.

. . . ANYWAY, since the subject of the music soundtrack came up one thing I would really like to see in XY is a Sound Test (music gallery) feature somewhere. PMD: Explorers of Sky and Gates to Infinity are currently the only Pokemon games to include them AFAIK.

    • Fairy-type attacks to be super effective against Dragon, Dark, and Fighting-type Pokémon
    • Fire and Psychic-type Pokémon to take half damage from Fairy-type moves
    • Sylveon will be a fairy-type
    • Professor's name to be Patrice
    • The first gym to be Bug
    • The second gym to be Fairy
    • The fourth gym to be Fighting
    • The fire starter's second type to be psychic
    • The grass starter's second type to be fighting
    • The water starter's second type to be dark
    • Mawile's type to change from Steel to Steel/Fairy
    • Dual-type attacks
    • A new electric attack that leeches health from the opponent
    • A new form of battling called "Sky Battles"
    • Mewtwo to get two new formes, and each forme is gained through an item in the two different games
    • A new move called Draining Kiss (Fairy-type) that has 60 power and steals HP on a one-to-one ratio
    • A new move called Belch (Poison-type) and your Pokémon must consume a berry first before using this attack
    • Players to see their Pokémon's EVs
    • A mini-game that allows you to boost your Pokémon's EVs without battling
Has anyone pointed out that the above post is suspiciously and hilariously close to the Pokebeach rumor? Holy crap. These are the Pokebeach rumors from the "leaker"

Sylveon is Fairy-type. Some older Pokemon will be reclassified to Fairy, such as Mawile (Steel/Fairy).
Mewtwo has two new formes, not just one. Both are activated via items.
The professor's English name is Patrice.
The Starter final evolutions are Fire/Psychic, Grass/Dark, and Water/Fighting.
The first Gym is Bug, the second is Fairy, and the fourth is Fighting.
A few attacks will be dual-typed.
There will be a new type of battling style that Flying-type Pokemon and Pokemon with Levitate can participate in.
You will be able to see a Pokemon's EVs at a certain in-game facility. You will be able to boost the EVs through mini-games. It will take about two hours to get one stat to max EVs.
