They are getting better at introducing female roles though, we got Cynthia in gen 4 and Juniper this gen. I think it's just a matter of time.
Non sequitur: I actually want Champions to have specialty types again.
I don't care for Champions with type speacialties. If they deserve to be champions they need to be able to use any type.
I'd prefer champions with mixed teams, like Cynthia. She's tough.
How 'bout a champion who does have a specialty type, but their team doesn't consist entirely of Pokemon of that type? I'd like to see that sort of thing on the Gym leaders more often myself. Makes things more interesting.
I'd like to see an Elite Four that specializes in stats instead of typing, with maybe the champion having a randomly generated team based on a different type each time he/she is battled.
That would be tough. It would be nearly impossible for non-experienced players to defeat them.
I want a narwhal and a giant squid Pokemon. :O
I really havnt put that much thought into this. =/
I still would like there to be a large audience watching the E4 battles. The E4 are supposed to be the best, so it would make since for there to be crowds wanting to see them in action, and a stadium being the place you battle in couldn't be that bad. I am just tired of the E4 being just up in a secluded mountaintop where no one ever sees them.
Definitely agree with Lumos or Nox, a region based on Australia would be awesome! Plus, some areas would be well suited to specific types for Gyms.
A few examples:
Grass-type Gym - Northeast Queensland, home of the Daintree Rainforest.
Water-type Gym - Perth, Western Australia; some of the best surf in the world occurs here.
Ice-type Gym - Snowy Mountains in New South Wales, birthplace of recreational skiing in Australia.
Rock-type Gym - Uluru/Ayers Rock, one of the largest monoliths in the world. Also, it should initially be accessible by train, as a reference to the Ghan, a transcontinental passenger train which runs from Darwin in the north to Adelaide in the south, with Uluru inbetween.
If anyone else has some ideas, feel free to share.
A honey badger Pokemon. Preferably with some crazy new Ability that makes it near invincible. You have to stay true to the source.
