Thread: VG Weekly Poll #8: Favourite Fire/Fighting Starter?

Mines Emboar coz Tepig is my favourite Pokemon and Emboar is and evolution of Tepig. I really hate Pignite though coz hes looks ugly

I went with Torchic because the repetition of this same type combo got annoying. Nothing against Tepig or Chimchar, but the lack of individuality type wise of those two occuring after Torchic made them less impressive in my eyes. Even pure typing is better than this. I just hope this trend does not continue in the next gen.

Infernape gets my vote.

My sentiments mostly agree with El_ though. I used to roll with Team Blaziken when DP first started out, but I found out that Infernape was stronger, and his charm just sort of stuck with me.

If I had to rate them. Infernape is the best, with Blaziken next with a very small difference. And well, as for Emboar. I'll give it points for being a self-cooking pot roast, but other than that. I'm going with my Flaming monkey and the Fried Chicken.

My personal favorite is Combusken/Blaziken. They were the original ones and I think they have the best moves. Imo, they look the coolest, and obviously are the most badass.

Blaziken and Infernape are over-hyped. As such, Emboar is my preference.

Blaziken for design and usefulness. Emboar has an okay design too.

Infernape can learn Close Combat, so that cuts it for me. I've never liked Blaziken or Pignite though, (but I like all other evolutions).

Blaziken would be my favorite. I just think it has a cooler design out of the other Fire/Fighting type starters. Though, Infernape would be a close second since it was really good on my Diamond team and the design works for me. I just started to raise a Tepig today, so I can't say how useful Emboar is compared to the other ones. Although, while the design has grown on me, it would still my least favorite out the Fire/Fighting starters.

Blaziken. Looks pretty epic to me, and it is one of my favorite fire types,and my favorite fighting type.

Blaziken, because its the best competitively. Especially in gen 5 where it totally obsoleted Infernape after many years in gen 4 of being ridiculed for being outclassed by Infernape in every possible way. Infernape, good stats! good moves! But I also like Blaziken for Blaze Kick.

I rarely choose a Fire as my starter, so I wouldn't know which one I prefer statistically. Aesthetically I'd go for Infernape, though. A very great design, if you ask me.

Infernape. It just has the best design, IMO.

okay so having checked out what Blaziken and Infernape look like, I REALLY wanna get into a trade with someone on here for both of them.
