Thread: VG Weekly Poll #8: Favourite Fire/Fighting Starter?

I picked Blaziken cuz Torchic was so cute. But anyways, I like him better cuz he learns Sky Uppercut and Blaze Kick - which suits him better in image XDD

Infernape is my favorite, seeing as I've never tried out the other ones. Though I prefer chickens over monkeys, I'll admit. O.o

Infernape definitely. Emboar was my least favorite, but I have changed my mind and I actually like him a lot since I saw a picture someone made of it him. Blaziken is cool, but I just don't like it that much.

Blaziken is the best, I think. Also, it's awesome that Blaziken doesn't even need Flamethrower, cause he's got Blaze Kick!

Blaziken's always been my favorite and it's definitely the coolest.

Blaziken, all the way. Plus, he reminds me of Captain Falcon for those reasons :

Blaze Kick (Falcon Kick), Hi-Jump Kick is described as a knee-attack (Knee of justice) and Fire Punch... Need I say more ? Plus he had gotten Speed Boost thanks to the Dream World. Which means "you got boost power !"

Even though I love Tepig out of the Fire-type starters, my favourite Fire/Fighting Pokemon is Infernape.

I've never used any of them and I don't intend to but, going by looks alone, I'd say infernape. It has the best design and its evolutions actually make sense (unlike the others)

Combusken/Blaziken for sure I love these guys not only are they my favorite Fire/Fighting starter but my favorite Fire Type starter along with Torchic.

Blaziken is ugly and his fighting style sucks.
Infernape is very cool, I really like its design, but I can't say it is my favourite.

And I felt in love with Emboar after watching the 14th pokémovie.
Badass sumo pig. So it recieves my vote.

Monferno > Combusken > Pignite, but... Emboar > Infernape > Blaziken.

I've used Blaziken and Infernape in my parties but I haven't used Emboar yet. My favourite Fire/Fighting starter is Blaziken because I like its movepool more than Infernape's.

I loathe Infernape both for it's design and the way the game designers lavished it with great stats and moves (not to mention an insane amount of focus in the anime). It's like the spoilt child of the Fire/Fighting family.

Blaziken has always been pretty "meh" to me, as Sceptile was my Hoenn starter of choice. Still, it's nice to see him get to trump that whored out monkey with speed boost.

That leaves Emboar, who is probably my favourite of the three. I'm not crazy about his design, but he's still better than the other two.
Why am I posting I don't even like Fire types...

I'm really hoping Gen V has the final Fire/Fighting starter...

I've always liked Blaziken, although, Infernape is a close second now.

Blaziken, hands down. I like Infernape and Emboar, but Blaziken is my favorite. I just love the move pool it has, and I just love the idea of a flaming fighting bird. It was also the only Starter I ever picked in RSE. I just loved it. It's Speed could use some work, but thanks to Speed Boost, that point is redundant (though I still prefer the Blaze ability). I may not do online or anything, but Blaziken would be the first Fire-type I'd pick for something like that. It just seemed a bit more well-rounded for the Fire/Fighting-type combo than Infernape and Emboar. Plus its design I just adored, so soft yet sharp. So Blaziken is my choice.
