Thread: VG Weekly Poll #8: Favourite Fire/Fighting Starter?

Welcome to the eigth installment in the Video Games Forum's new weekly series of polls!

Centered around the Pokemon series of video games, these polls will be based on the various different aspects of the popular video game franchise. Every Monday, a Video Games staff member will post a new poll that'll remained stickied up on top of the forum. Suggestions for polls and questions can be sent to Joshawott, and they could possibly used for new polls (credit will be given, of course).

With that out of the way, here is the poll: What is your favourite Fire/Fighting starter? As you know, the franchise has a fair few - Blaziken, Infernape and Emboar. However, which one is your favourite?

Blaziken.

The first is always best.

I like Infernape, because Emboar isn't statistical enough, and I haven't finished training my Blaziken.

Infernape, because it is awesome. Other two are cool, though.

Infernape wasn't an exact copy of Blaziken. He was able to top the first which isn't easy.(Plus his evolutions make more sence than his competition.)

Blaziken. It's design is better than the rest, IMO.

I'll go with Emboar.

I like Torchic and Tepig, but neither of the evolutions of Torchic.

Also, in the TCG, I rather play Emboar than Typhlosion, and the 2 others can't do the same (Granted, Blaziken was able to do it years and years back)

Blaziken, because I prefer it's design, and it was the starter I chose in my very first run of Sapphire

Blaziken, because it had the best design, and it is still one of my favourite Pokémon. I only used it and Infernape, and so far I prefer it, since it had a good Fire/Fighting combo, while Infernape seemed to focus on Fighting too much. I didn't try Emboar yet, but I'm not too fond of it's design.

Blaziken is my favourite, because it was the most useful in my in-game playthroughs. Infernape was kind of meh in DPPt and I didn't try Emboar yet. I do, however, enjoy the designs of each of them.

Blaziken. It was the first one and has the best use.

Infernape. Blaziken looks weird and.. awkward.. But I prefer them all over Emboar though.

Blaziken. It's whole concept and design is awesome. Emboar is not bad,but I don't like it's design and Infernape always seemed too easy to defeat and it's,in my opinion,the worst of all starters.

Blaziken. It's my favorite Fire-type, period. Also, Speed Boost.

A tie out of Blaziken/Infernape. I'd probably just say Blaziken simply because he was the first Fire/Fighting type and I loved the Hoenn region. Infernape is fantastic in battles though, so dang fast and versatile and my starter in DPP.

Emboar is just... inferior. I mean seriously, I understand what he is suppose to be based off of so his appearance makes sense, but it at the same time seems uncreative and he falls short in every way compared to Blaziken/Infernape.
(Inferior design AND inferior on the battle field)

I hope that this type combo isn't seen for a long time, if at all.
