VG Weekly Poll #5: Favorite Grass-type starter?

Welcome to the fifth installment in the Video Games Forum's new weekly series of polls! (wow, it's passed a whole month already!)

Centered around the Pokemon series of video games, these polls will be based on the various different aspects of the popular video game franchise. Every Friday, a Video Games staff member will post a new poll that'll remained stickied up on top of the forum. Suggestions for polls and questions can be sent to Life Alert, and they could possibly used for new polls (credit will be given, of course).

With that out of the way, here is the poll: Which is your favorite Grass-type starter? Is it the smug Snivy? The quirky Treecko? Or the ever-adorable Bulbagarden mascot, Bulbasaur itself?

Bulbasaur is my hero, my favourite starter, end of :shy:

Treecko because of sheer badassery that Snivy can never even hope to achieve.

Sceptile and Grovyle in particular are 2 of the most badass starter evolution stages.

The badassery of Ash's Sceptile also helps.

My favorite is Snivy. I like its design alot, more so than the other grass type starters although Treecko is a close runner up.

Turtwig's line is the only grass-type starter that I like every Pokémon in the evolution line; Torterra was also my second lv.100 from Gen III onwards. For which grass-Pokémon in each line I don't like, I'm not keen on Venusaur, Chikorita, Sceptile and Serperior.

Chikorita. It remains the only grass-type starter I've ever picked, and with good reason. I just love its design.
Treecko would be second (Sceptile's pretty badass), Bulbasaur would be third (mascot status notwithstanding), Turtwig would be fourth (I used to like it, then I decided it was kind of meh), and Snivy would be last. I just don't get what people see in it, to be honest.

Snivy. For once, an easy VG poll that I actually am qualified to answer.

Snivy is a grass snake, so I loved it in speculation ever before I saw its movepool, typing, or stats. (Well, I always knew its typing halfway, kind-of.) I'm only kinda dissapointed that Serperior wasn't named Coilord but, well, Serperior is kinda faithful to the Japanese name anyway.

Serperior is also the most useful competitively. You may not believe me, but it's true, haha. I won't divulge my secrets though, unless you earn my trust and favor.

Serperior has alot of up to go, and I think it will go up. I expect move tutors to make the special sweeper very potent: I expect Serperior will get Dragon Pulse, giving it generally all-around neutral coverage. That said, the DW-special sweeper is otherwise not even its best set.

Chikorita. I don't care if people say the Meganium line sucks and has a horrible design, Chikorita was my first Pokemon and she never let me down.
Bulbasaur's second as I like it's design too, then comes Turtwig because Torterra is badass. Treecko and Snivy I don't particularly care for.

Bulbasaur was the only Grass starter that I genuinely liked using during my playthroughs, so my vote goes to him. Pretty cool design and evolutions too.

Chikorita is a close second.

Design-wise it is snivy. I like to use treecko more though for better stats

I like Treecko's design, and it's one of the few evolutionary lines that I like every member of.

Treeko. Only grass starter that is my favorite starter for that particular generation. LOL, i'm REALLY suprised to see that Chikorita is tied for 1st place, but the poll's still young.

I have yet to use Snivy or Turtwig so I can't speak for them, but Bulbasaur was always a nice addition to my team and always made his presence felt.

Treecko all the way! I think Treecko are unique and stand out the most out of all the starters for me.

Ah, not many people love Turtwig. But I love Turtwig! It's so cute and powerful, and does everything right. Except speed. I'm not much of a Grotle fan, but Torterra's awesome. Quite powerful, and my favourite Pearl/Platinum starter, in fact, my ONLY favourite grass starter! Go Turtwig!
