Thread: VG Weekly Poll #4: Do you EV Train?

I just started EV training for a competitive team, and I keep track on a notepad. It is a pain in the crack.

I don't start until after I've beaten the Elite Four. I'd rather just plow through all of the trainers first and have room to mess around later with breeding and all that jazz.

I only EV train my in-game team, as I really don't have a huge interest in competitive battling. I do it for the challenge, more or less.

I only EV train my Wi-fi team, my in-game teams get trained normally.

I EV train since 2006, when I first trained my Emerald Flygon for a Battle Frontier team. It was fun to actually start winning with my favourite Pokemon. Today, I mostly train for Wi-Fi teams and such.

As for the story mode... ugh, seriously, is there any point? NPC Pokemon are so terrible (no EVs, very low IVs) that you're gonna beat them no matter what.

I don't. They'll be what they'll be. Good stats don't matter to me.

I EV train my competitive teams. I don't see any point in EV training my in-game teams; EV-trained or not, they'll still be able to defeat NPCs.

For ingame,I used to ev train,iv breed pokes on whom I used tms like earthquake since they were rare.(this was before white came out.)
Nowadays i don't do it for ingame, only for competitive battling.

I've never EV trained, which is disappointing, because I never knew about it until the last year or two... I still haven't learned much about it.

I'm not a competitive player, so I rarely EV train. In fact, I only have around 3 EV trained pokémon (Azelf, Haxorus, and Ampharos) from when I wanted to give EV training a try.

I think EV training is not necessary, it does produce good results but it is not necessary unless you want to get to the top of battle tower or something like that. I personally do not EV train.

When I have time, so yes.

I don't EV train at all. It's a bit ridiculous and too time-consuming honestly.

Other. I just EV train a few Pokemon for the heck of it, and I like to think that one day I'll build a competitive team. I haven't gotten that far yet, though, even after 4 years. I'm still Ev training, though.

I EV train just my competitive pokemon. I typically just turn on the TV and keep a tally on my phone. Time goes by quicker that way. ^^

I don't EV train at all. I don't really understand how to anyway. I just let them grow with whatever they battle.
