Thread: VG Weekly Poll #21 Favourite Male Playable Character?

Brendan because of his hat and I love his design. And then Hilbert just because I find him cute. :)

Gold if by far my favorite trainer, he's just plain awesome. He beat Red after all.

Gold/Ethan for the fact that there designs are simple but yet unique and I also started out with Generation II.

Red, because he just looks awesome and he is the strongest trainer!

Poor Lucas is losing with only 9 votes. :( (And I voted for him, too.....although I much prefer his D/P clothing to his Platinum clothing. That jacket just....doesn't look good.)
Second last is Red with 19 votes, then Brendan with 23 votes, then Hilbert with 24 votes, and finally in first place Gold/Ethan with 29 votes.
I still go for Lucas. I really like that beret, he has a pretty good character when you don't play as him (I always played as Dawn. And his character is pretty good compared to Gold/Ethan who felt rather bland and, as said before, robotic) and his name is nice.
Although not included on the list, I liked the design of Kellyn from Shadows of Almia as well. Lunick and Ben from Ranger 1 and Guardian Signs were fine as well.

Lucas. He has the best design.
Red come in a close second, because he is badass and have style.

Red, because he's the only normal, serious-looking trainer. All others give the feeling that Game Freak was trying to create a "cool" trainer by giving them funky and extremely ridiculous clothes paired with strange, awful hairdos, and failed epically.

I like Brendan. Design is nice and the white thing is still a mystery. He also seems like he'd be awesome if he was in the anime

I like Brendon's hat, and Ruby was awesome in Pokemon Adventures, so I picked him.

My favorite would actually be Hilbert. I just really liked his design. It worked a lot better for me than the designs for the male trainers in the last couple of generations and I kind of liked how his sprite image reminded me of Judai from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX.

Right now, Kyouhei is my favorite, he's so cute! Lucas is right behind him, especially with the Pt outfit. Brendan's Emerald outfit is my 3rd fave, tied with Hilbert. I can't stand Red or Ethan due to how popular they are. :/

Kyouhei. I just love his design, everything. His costume, his hair.
