VG Weekly Poll #21 Favourite Male Playable Character?

Welcome to the twenty-first instalment in the Video Games Forum's new weekly series of polls! (Don't ask my why I mislabelled last week's as the 20th >>).

Centered around the Pokemon series of video games, these polls will be based on the various different aspects of the popular video game franchise. I like Ethan, I don't have a reason why. I guess I like his hat better than Red's. :P

It was a tie-up between Gold(Ethan) and Black(Hilbert), I chose Gold because I used him first and while I like Black's artwork I don't like his over world sprite.

Hilbert, simply because he is older than the others, and that makes him the easiest for players of all ages to relate to.

Anybody but Hilbert.
Probably Ethan. I don't have much of a preference, but I like his design.

I gotta go with Gold as my favorite. It seems to be the only unique looking male, besides Lucas, and I like the GSC games more

Lucas. I prefer his name and his design.

Gold has the best design in my opinion. I hate Hilbert since his hair design is awful.

Gold/Ethan has the best design in my opinion.

Gold/Ethan, with Brendan following close behind.

Lucas, by far. He's the only one that has a good design AND actually has some personality when you're not playing as him, but Dawn instead. He's forgetful and a bit worrisome, but very helpful. Ethan felt robotic and I don't feel we saw enough of Brendan. And I'm not crazy about their designs either. As for Hilbert, not crazy about his design either. Or his name. Ew.

Red, he's the reason Ash exist in the first place, and he's always serious.

Ethan / Gold by far. I picked him over Lyra when I started playing my SS, and I am a girl. Go figure.

I also have a lot of symphaty for Brendan, although he would be much better of with white hair instead of that wierd-ass hat lol.

They finally made a male playable character that I could take seriously in Gen 5 XD I have played the games since Gen 1 and the one thing that bugged me was the look and fashion of the male playable characters up to Gen 5. I have always usually selected the female characters in the previous versions because of this (Except R/B/Y & G/S of course :p).

The character in Pokemon Black/White looks much better in my opinion and the older look for both playable characters is a vast improvement. I voted for Hilbert's character on this basis.

Lucas because I like his remade design in Platinum version.
