I actually prefer it this way, I'm hoping future gens don't go over 100 if I'm being honest. I love most of the new ones and like the ones I don't love. But really for me playing through Y felt like a greatest hits pokemon game. Saw favorites from every generation(even if I only had 2 old pokemon on my team) and honestly I think I could play through x or y seven times using different teams every time(Snorlax would be on every team though, because he's Snorlax.) I'd rather fewer monsters of higher quality than a glut of monsters that I don't care about. Of course I loved black and white because there were 12+ monsters that I could enjoy playing through the game with and you couldn't get older monsters until post-game then so as long as the ones we do get are good I honestly don't care if it's a ton like in gen 5 or a few like in gen 6.

    In Pokemon, more is more.

Of course I'm upset with around only 70 new Pokemon.
And of course I'd prefer fewer Pokemon I like to more I don't, but there's no guarantee that that is what we will get should this trend continue.

There are plenty of Pokemon I dislike in Gen 6 or wish weren't made.

I don't mind. After all, the rumours (possibly true) mean that we have 69-72 KNOWN pokemon obtainable/to be obtained through events. There CAN still be more, if unlikely.

But it doesn't bother me. I like them all, well, maybe most. But I won't single out any single ones.

That said, most people who say they love them all will drop them like rocks when we can transfer their previous-gen teams over.

It's sufficient, honestly. It's good to have a break from having so many new Pokemon once again. (I remember needing a year just to get all the Gen 5 Pokemon down.)

Don't forget... To you, I am... in love with the hope that is sleeping within you.

I would have liked more but they have produced some crackers

Tyrantrum & Aegislash have shot straight to the top of my favourite pokemon ever, alongside Arcanine, Excadrill & Weavile (2 of which you can't get pre E4 I believe, very annoying). Really like Chesnaught, Talonflame, Noivern, Goodra & Dragalge as well.

I wasn't at all bothered by the fewer amount of new Pokemon. Gamefreak really overdid themselves with the designs of the 3D models of each and every Pokemon, and I'd much rather them have done that than added 50 more Pokemon that the majority of the fandom would have just complained about anyway.

The majority of new (or old) pokémon are fillers to me anyway.
Just something to catch/evolve and then leave to rot in a box.

Because of the relatively low count of new ones, his gen had the highest ratio of relevant -mons for me of all time.

EDIT: Oh yea, and then we have megas. Blaziken, Charizard and Tyranitar alone make it worth it.

Don't really know how I feel about it.

While I'm always hyped about new designs, I'm also kinda scared of weak designs being put into the game just for the sake of "kan haz mör pocimänz?".

So I'd say, all in all, that it's okay, because I really like most of the new ones.

The amount of new Pokemon has honestly been one of my only major complaints about Gen VI. 69 is a bit low to me, compared to the normal 100

I'm cool with the 69 new ones. Was hoping for more legendaries but I'm sure we'll see some more.

    I just feel like this:

there are only 27 Fully evolved pokemon that are not Starters, Fossils or Legendaries. That means that in order to have a team of 6, you are using more than one in every five pokemon. I just can't help but feel that having more like 40 would be better.

(there were 61 in Gen V)
(there were 52 in Gen. II, which had the second least new pokemon).

Maybe they'll extend the pokedex with the rumored pokemon z, like they kinda did with platinum

Even if you add on the Mega Evolutions we still got less than 100, so . . . urgh. Worst part of this gen.

I think that there was a right amount of new pokemon since there is also lots of old ones too.

Platinum didn't add any new Pokemon though. It added new forms of Shaymin, Giratina and Rotom. The regional dex was basically expanded to include more old Pokemon.

I hope Pokemon Z or whatever the follow-up games to X&Y will do something new like add new Pokemon within the same gen. :)
