Who is this "king?" Could it be pointing to Snorlax Kyurem as the third version mascot? Theres no legendary Pokemon that could fit as the king. Mostly because they're already in a trio that already has a background. Meloetta couldn't be it since it's based on the Muses who are females. It can't be Genesect since it was actually just an experiment by Team Plasma. Victini might be able to fit since it doesn't have much of a background as a legendary.
    it's talking about N obviously

the whole he who talks to all part

the ruins are far older than N. So no, N isn't the king in question.

There are far too few people who are open to the idea that Kyurem might have been the king. This is a little odd, since many fans take it as a given that Kyurem will have an alternate form in the third version, and yet no one seems very interested in proposing a niche for that Forme.

The king could just be N's ancestor, but what could come of that? Not much.

Looks like I'll have to ask again.

    Whats on the second floor?

Any possibilities on it refering to Groudon or Kyogre for possible Ruby and Sapphire remakes?

Only the Ancient Crown is referenced as an item that the player should keep.

No. Don't look for things that are clearly not there; Game Freak would have just used braille if they'd wanted to foreshadow a return to Hoenn.

Considering that those two women were claiming to be goddesses, yet not associated with Team Plasma, it's not too out of the question that N's ancestor was a Pokemon.

It's not like other Pokemon myths hadn't alluded to that possibility.

I agree that the king could be both a Pokémon (Kyurem) and N's ancestor. It would certainly put an ironic spin on N's desire to separate Pokémon from humans.

As for those two women, their role in the third version might entail letting the player know of the real origin story and entrusting them with the God Stone (the means to summon Kyurem). That wouldn't be enough to revert Kyurem's Forme, though; the Ancient Crown would be required for that.

I find it more feasible that reshiram, zekrom, and Kyurem where all part of a bigger pokemon. Given that they are based on the tao philosophy of yin and yang. Kyurem migh be actually be the basic form of the original given that it's presentation in the tao means nothingness. Maybe the rumors of it eating pokemon and humans could be becuase without the other two it is more animalistic.

Rambling aside I think that the fusion of the three could be the king or have helped the King do all the things the ruins said the king did.

That's nice, but the ruins speak of a Pokémon that was defeated by the king and another Pokémon that joined it; those two Pokémon are interchangeable as they are switched between the versions. That's really the point of this thread.

Yeah You're right, I read that wrong. I still find the theory that kyurem might be the King a little unlikely owing to the fact that the description of the king and the legends surrounding Kyurem to be in conflict. Though we know that Kyurem has a connection to the other two dragons (by which I mean of two suspicious Ice moves that can't be learned but suggests that Kyurem learns: Cold Flare and Freeze Bolt.)

Actually after reading the page again I almost want to play the third version just to see who or what this King is, It boggles my mind.
