I nickname all of my pokemon except for the ones I use when I'm replaying a game because I usually already have them and only use them for that playthrough.

I only nickname the ones I use on my team. For me its special. That way i can look back on my older teams and see each unique Pokemon I had. :)

Oh, yeah, for a few runs I would nickname all of my pokemon after friends and people I knew ^_^. A lot of my other friends did this too. Actually, this spring semester, my friend had a Gallade named after one friend, a Feraligator after another, and an Eevee named after me :D

I nickname all of them cept for events and legends,shinys,perfect ivs, etc
but most everything gets a name
I mean having a totodile named TOTODILE is like having a dod named DOG or your name being HUMAN
they are each different so I do nickname my pokemon

I love nicknaming Pokemon. Though I don't nickname all of them... because I always attempt to catch 'em all. >_> Sometimes I'll end up wasting like 15 minutes trying to think of a good nickname. But it's nice since it kinda makes the Pokemon my own. I don't nickname legendaries though. I guess to keep them feeling "legendary" or something.

Noctowl- Oscar(cause Oscar from The Speed Gamers didn't know what Pigeon was and Hoothoot is a bird)
Tentacool- Ruby
Buizel(I want one so bad but action replay isn't working on desmume!!!)- Normal: Daxter(cause of the Otter/Weasle cross aka Ottsel), Shiny: Tails(yellow fur and 2 tails)
