Thread: Stupidest nickname you ever gave to a Pokemon

I remember naming a Pidgey in either Fire Red or Leaf Green 'Tweetle-dee' or something similar to that. I still groan at the thought of it.

I have a habit of naming the Pokemon I'm going to trade after fast food restaurants :B

I remember trying to catch a Klink in my copy of Black. It took me ages to catch one so when I caught it I called it "FINALLY!!!"

I choose Tepig at the start of that same game. It was female so I named it Tammy. It's stilll called that now as a level 100 Emboar.
I also have...
A Gothorita I named "The Queen",
a Mandibuzz I named "O'd Brown"
and a Venipede I named "Poop"

Well, Pippy the Empoleon was pretty bad (7 Year Old Me: EVOLUTION SCHMEVOLUTION)
Same with Bacon the Emboar and Poison Jam the Drapion (Although Poison Jam was pretty cool because I got to go "DAYUM! IT'S POISON JAM" a lot.)

But OMG, I failed hardcore at the Musketeer trio.

Well I traded a pokémon and then I saw its name. A Ponyta named Ghost rider.

Now that I read most of these posts, here's mine:

Milotic-Fra , because I caught a feebas in my sapphire that I was gonna name it Fran but was so excited I forgot to spell his whole name. Yes, I do know Fran is a girl name. Yes, this particular milotic is a boy.

Here's a real winner
Rhyhorn- Horny, because I was 8 and named pokemon after their attributes. Rhyhorn has a horn, therefore it's horny. Didn't know what that actually meant until I traded it over to a friend when I was 14, who then taught me the actual meaning of horny.

I caught a Paras for an HM slave. Then I realized that Paras spelled backwards is 'sarap", which meens yummy in Filipino. I named him delicious...
Also, for a comedic nuzlocke unreleased video run, i named my Tepig Ezalb and made hime my referance guide and robot.

I once named a Swinub Carpet. I named another one Ottoman, as in the furniture, but I spelled it incorrectly, hehe.

Hey, I named my Pidgey Otto on my HG nuzlocke...but I have an excuse

While picking through my SS boxes, I found this gem: a Girafarig by the name of "Creeper".

What is this I don't even...

I caught a Shiny Volbeat and named it "007" because it looked like it was wearing a suit.

Then named it "00B", as in "double-0-Bee". But I realized it looked like it said "oob".

Then named it Anchorman, because of the movie, Anchorman, and he looked like he was in a suit.

Then named it Bluberry, again because of the movie, Anchorman. Also its shiny form is blue.

If anyone gets the reference, you deserve a cookie. ;w;

All those names are really cute!!

I was looking through my boxes in black and I found a shiny golem named DUDE!!! I caught it in leaf green and now I can' t change it. What's even stranger is that I only caught it a few months ago so it's not like I named it this when i was a little kid.

Let's see... I had a habit at one point of naming Pokemon symbols. Some good examples:

Plusle named +
Minun named -
Onix named !!! (I don't remember why.)

And it didn't stop there. Some other strange names I've seen while flipping through various boxes in games include

A traded Zebstrika named EEEEEEEE!!

Another Rattata named Forthedex

So, yeah. I had/have my fair share of weird names.
