They could have hacked the Azure Flute in Gen IV and caught it at Spear Pillar. It doesn't make the itself Arceus hacked (just the item, then the item activates the event "legitimately"), but it doesn't make it legit either considering the Azure Flute was never released and therefore Arceus cannot be caught in Gen IV without some form of hacking.

But yeah, general rule: don't trust the GTS when it comes to legendaries of the rare kind (regular pokemon/legendaries are usually OK).

Even more general GTS rule: If it's a good Pokémon, it's probably hacked. Otherwise, why would they be trading it?

Are you talking about the Victini event that doesn't start until December 3rd? You've got a week (+1 day) for that event to start, so that could be your problem. Unless that's not the event you're talking about...?

The Liberty Ticket event is long over. The next event for Victini, the Movie Victini, hasnt started yet, that starts Dec 3rd.

I breeded a Gengar to get a good nature and I hatched the egg the Gastly came out Brave natured.
Can I change the nature if I breed and hatch a second egg?

If you meant the nature of the next egg, natures are determined as soon as you receive the egg. So hatch as many as possible - eventually you'll get what you want.

Stupid question, but you can trade eggs and items as normal in Gen V, right? But you can't move them from Gen IV to Gen V?

That's correct. I'm not sure about moving eggs from gen IV to V though, never tried it.

You cannot transfer eggs - they need to hatch first before transferring from generation to generation.

If I trade a Pokemon from the GTS, how can I know if it's Hacked?
