Re: Simple Questions / Simple Answers (Gen 5)
and I just got like 30 Battle points, so all I need to do is actually get some more blue shards and I'm halfway there!
so now zoroark will have dark pulse, focus blast, swagger and grass knot/flamethrower
I'm thinking of getting rid of flamethrower since garchomp has it, and ampharos has fire punch

Sp. Defense: 9

Are these rubbish IVs for a Serperior I'll be using for an in-game special attacker? How big an effect do IVs actually have?
Cheers!
For an in-game run those IVs are pretty phenomenal. I'll take it you got them without any type of RNG Abuse, so stick with them. Your Speed and Sp. Attack are both great, which will serve a Modest Snivy well as a Special Sweeper. To answer your second question, IVs are extremely important when battling against other trainers online, but in-game IVs in general aren't important. Ultimately, each IV in a stat is just an extra stat point when your Pokemon is leveled out. For example, if your Snivy and my Snivy are both Male, Modest, have Overgrow, and have 252 EVs invested in their Speed stats (in essence, they're identical) but my Snivy's Speed IV is 31 and your Snivy's Speed IV is 30, I will out speed you. It's one point but can make all the difference when battling against other trainers who are concious of their Pokemons' IVs.
But like I said, for an in-game Snivy, IVs don't really matter when battling against NPCs. Granted, the IVs you do have as it is are exceptional. You should be in great shape and your Snivy should serve its set well.

I don't know how you've trained either your Garchomp or Ampharos, but I would highly recommend teaching your Garchomp Fire Fang over Flamethrower. Considering Garchomp's massive 130 Base Attack stat (in comparison to its basic 80 Base Sp. Attack stat) you're missing out by using a Special move such as Flamethrower. The coverage you get from a Fire-type move is a good idea, but Garchomp is a Physically-based Pokemon. Play on his strengths.
Now, Ampharos on the other hand, is Specially-based, with a Base Sp. Attack of 115 (in comparison to its poor Base Attack of 75). Again, play to its strengths and focus on Special moves such as Thunderbolt, Focus Blast or Signal Beam. All that being said Ampharos is a lackluster Special Sweeper as it has an extremely shallow movepool, poor coverage, and is easily outclassed by other Electric-type Pokemon.
Also stay conscious of your Pokemon's bulk. Both Zoroark and Ampharos are notably nimble Pokemon and can be counter-swept quite easily. Replacing one of them with a bulkier Pokemon may improve your longevity in the Battle Subway or PWT. Just food for thought.
Good luck!
Re: Simple Questions / Simple Answers (Gen 5)
Hey Beck, thanks for the suggestions! You guys have been really helpful and I'm like hella stockpiling on battle points right now, it's crazy!
On your point about Ampharos: I think since I've had him from like the beginning of my game when I caught him as a mareep, I've sort of stubbornly stuck it out with him, using the guy to slaughter Skyla and Marlon's teams. I think once I get a chance I'd probably replace him with a Jolteon or if I can find someone who wants something I have, an Electivire cause I find him so badass
More questions though. I've been hitting up the PWT and relic passage with max repels on for blueshards, are these the only two ways I can find those shards?
Now I just need a Heart Scale

You can also find Shards in dust clouds in Relic Passage and Reversal Mountain. Just bring a bunch of Max Repels and run around the cave until they appear. There's also a chance of finding other items and certain Pokémon in the dust clouds too though, so it might take a while if you need many of a specific Shard.

I'm about to do that just now actually!
I decided to go with Dragon Claw instead of Fire Fang for Garchomp, rounding out his moveset.
I just need like three or four more blue shards

Good idea! Playing on Garchomp's STABs will get you far, so Dragon Claw or Outrage and Earthquake are both necessary in running an explosive Garchomp set. And I'm glad to hear you're pumping out that BP.
If I could also recommend checking out Smogon's Strategy Pokedex, it could be worth your while. If you haven't already used it be sure to give it a try. The Pokemon described here are tailored for pure online competitive battles, so they're extensive, but they also help if you're just looking for solid sets. Like, for example, look at Jolteon (link to its Smogon article), one of my favourites, especially on a Rain team. Anyway, if you chose to use Jolteon then you have a lot of sets to mimic. Choose a set you want to follow and adjust it to fit in your team. Remember, these are some of the better sets, not necessarily the only or best sets.
That being said I understand what it's like to hold on to a Pokemon in your team. I've been doing that with my Lucario and Azumarill in the PWT until I can swap them with more properly trained Pokemon.
Again, good luck!

What's a good Pokemon In Black2 to use as a HMSlave?
Re: Simple Questions / Simple Answers (Gen 5)
I'm not too certain on how certain things in White Forest in W2 work, and Bulbapedia has no info this,
There's a couple of shop stands just outside of the White Treehollow. I'm not sure how those were filled, I think it depended on my progress in the White Treehollow challenge. They offer items for sale, usually evolutionary items. But lately all the two shops have been selling have been nothing but Leaf Stones and Water Stones, and they never seem to change their stock unlike before. Could anyone explain to me how this works?

Bibarel, Dragonite, Smeargle, and Ducklett all come to mind for me. Just depends on what HMs you actually have for battle on your team, and what HMs you need on a mule.
Re: Simple Questions / Simple Answers (Gen 5)
What exactly are the requirements to obtain the Memory Master medal?
I know it's to see all the events in memory link, but I don't what exactly counts. I'll do all the flashback requirements just playing the main story, so that doesn't really matter. But do I need to have the pokedex certificates and battle subway trophies in White to get the medal in White 2? And do I have to have all the props in White be transferred over to White 2 in order to get the medal or can it just be some props?

Check out the list of items here. So like the quote says, the Items available depends on the day of the week and the area you've completed in the White Treehollow.

I'm a bit confused as to what exactly you're asking. Yes, to obtain the Master Memory medal all you need to do is see all of the events through the Memory Link.
They're all listed here:

The Master Memory medal has no other connections to any other features of the Memory Link. Now, to receive the Musical Star medal you have to obtain every prop, which can be done in B2/W2 alone (for a list of every prop and the methods to obtain them, use Bulbapedia's Prop page). Again, for medals in B2/W2, you don't need to transfer any items or hold any trophies in B/W. The Medal System was incorporated in B2/W2 so there's no transfer of information. It also wouldn't make sense for Game Freak to require a player to own both B/W and B2/W2 to complete a feature exclusive to the latter.

Re: Simple Questions / Simple Answers (Gen 5)
This is going to sound like a really stupid question, but out of curiosity, how in the world do you check IVs on a Pokemon?

Unfortuantely, unless you use a cheating device, there is no way in-game to simply check a Pokémon's IVs.
However, there are a few online calculators, such as this one at Psypoke's, that can help you find your Pokémon's IVs. You just put in their species, level, nature, current stats, and whatever EVs they have, and they'll give you a range of possible EVs that Pokémon could have. Works better with higher levels, since it allows the range to narrow down and be more accurate.

You can check at the Battle Subway in Nimbasa, although he isn't terribly specific.
First he will tell you the overall rating of your Pokémon:
Decent = 0-90 IV's overall
Above Average = 91-120 IV's overall
Relatively Superior = 121-150 IV's overall
Outstanding = 151-186 IV's overall
Then he will single out a single stat:
Decent = 0-15
Very Good = 16-25
Fantastic = 26-30
Can't Be Better = 31
That's about as accurate as you can get in the game itself without using an online calculator I think.
