Can you receive pokemon found only in the national dex (e.g rhyhorn or nidoranF) before you have the national dex in trades and such?

I suppose if any one else had any questions about Diamond/Pearl they could be posted here and those with the game could answer them.

Yes. But only friend-friend. 'Cause of, course, on the GTS you can't ask for Pokemon you haven't seen.

But theoretically, one could take Pokemon from Pal Park in a post-Nat Dex game and trade them over to a pre-Nat Dex game no probs.

Yup, I got a Dosidon before I got the National Dex (it was a trade), and when I got the Nat. Dex he was in it.
