Yeah, they can listen. They can listen all they want. That doesn't mean they have to actually implement their suggestions in the games.

Stay the course, GF, you've done fine by me thus far.
I do enjoy the callouts to the fandom. And I think MLP (Yep, it's now even here) has done the best at calling out to fans with Derpy Hooves. That's cool and it's a nod to the fans, but under no situation should the fans have any control over the development of the games. Simply no, because for every gem of an idea that makes you go 'Wow, that would be great' there is a list of stuff that makes your eyes itch to read. I say leave the control of the games to the people who have made them rememberable; the people who've made my favorite game of all time, even over things like Mass Effect and such.
Hmmm...Nope, I can't think of a think for a signature nor do I have any pictures I think would fit.
End transmission, please.
If they used one fan idea, then every single fan would feel entitled to their pokefantasies coming true.
No, never. The Pokémon fandom is one of the worst and most conflicted in the entire existence... Nothing good would come from Game Freak listening to 'us'.
Soul of the mind, key to life's ether. Souls of the lost withdrawn from its vessel. Let strength be grant so the world might be mended... so the world might be mended.
I think they should listen to their fans but whether they actually choose to follow through with what fans ask for would depend on what's being suggested. As Reila said some of the things that have been suggested by fans are unbelievably stupid and would only serve to make the games far worse if they were ever implemented.
In terms of Pokemon or game ideas, absolutely not.
But I do think they should pay more attention to fan feedback, for instance, whether or not fans want a simple, linear region (like Johto and Unova) or a larger and more complex one (like Hoenn or Sinnoh).
They do listen to their fans... just not the international ones.
They make it in different regions yes, but their main base is Japan so they are going to take their ideas over the others. Like with unova being linear for example.
I chose yes and honestly I don't think there is anything wrong with LISTENING to what the fans have to say (listening being the keyword not doing) I mean they are the ones who buy the games at the end of the day. Also some things I wouldn't be too bothered by like fans giving them ideas on simple things like species of animals yet to be made into Pokémon and things like a Pokédex that's customizable as well as characters also. But there is a line that shouldn't be crossed like fans giving them ideas for Pokémon designs. Though I will say this now that the games will hopefully be coming out simultaneously I would love if they held a contest where fans are given a chance to create there own Pokémon with 4 categories which would give us 4 winners...
Here's the categories
1. Non-Evolution Pokémon (examples of Non-Evolution Pokémon Lapras, Smeargle, Sigilyph etc)
2. Single Evolution Pokémon (examples of Single Evolution Pokémon Growlithe, Skorupi, Zorua etc)
3. Double Evolution Pokémon (examples of Double Evolution Pokémon Machop, Larvitar, Tynamo etc)
4. Standalone Legendary Pokémon (examples of Standalone Legendary Pokémon Celebi, Deoxys, Heatran etc)
I think this would be great because this atleast is the closest anyone can get to having there own input on any Pokémon design and not only that but Japan has already held some kind of contest where a person got to create there own move that move being Draco Meteor back in the Diamond and Pearl Era. Also with the DLC the 3DS has they can do this kind of contest with the X and Y games already being out or maybe they can wait until Generation 7 to do a contest like this but that may be a bit of a long wait. Plus everyone gets a fair chance due to the games being released worldwide in the same month.
