You have the patience of a saint. I would probably give up after 500 SRs for the starter! Good luck with this challenge!

I would have no trouble encountering all-shiny Pokemon, I have an "All Pokemon Shiny" code for White. Your rules don't mention not using an Action Replay after all. And even then, PokeSav can make a very legit-looking shiny Pokemon. It would be easy to claim it's a legit shiny, and nobody would be the wiser unless they looked at the actual HEX Value and whatnot.

I smell something fishy with the 7-resets for a shiny Snivy. Pics or it didn't happen.

Only 7 resets for a shiny Snivy? Good lord. Either you have extreme luck or it's hacked in some way. I have a shiny Giratina that it took 3 days of SRing for (and I was pretty damn fed up by the time I finally got it, too). This challenge would be practically impossible.

... Well, this ought to be entertaining at least.

In 15 years, and only maybe 8 of continuous playing, I only met 2 shinies by accident, 1 rattata and 1 banette. And I played all the games of the main series. I never SRed and I did have a LOT of wild encounters, given how much time I have played all the games.

If you wanted to make this run infinitely close to impossible, how about you combine your idea of a Shiny run with a Nuzlocke challenge? I mean, if you're looking for something impossible, THAT would be the way to go.

I have a blog for people like you. Take infinity's advice when you read it.

This challenge seems like a waste of time if you ask me. One would need ample amounts of time just to even find a shiny starter. Why would anyone do such a time consuming, and overall extremely luck based challenge?

Woah, Guys. 7 SR's may be extremely lucky, But its not impossible. My friend was SRing for a shiny pokemon, And he did it while I was over, Just to prove a point. We were amazed, Because it only took 26 SR's. It was a Chikorita, I believe.

Also, Good luck. I'm very impatient. I've got something around 900 SR's on a Shiny Giratina hunt. Sooo.... Long...'

Wonder what the first shiny'll be!

:) I posted proof sweets so there's no dramas anymore hahahah. but lucky him! I tried S+R'ing for a Piplup in Diamond a long while ago and gave up on 260. n_n; sometimes it takes a looooooong time, and sometimes you're just super lucky!

i got a panpour as my first shiny, btw. XDD.

Heh, On my long lost Pokemon Black, some dude traded me a lv 53 shiny pansage for a lv 15 non-shiny panpour :3

He also gave me some other shiny things. It was awesome. Then, ofc, I had to lose the game ¬.¬
I hope Shiny Giratina shows soon :<
