I like looking at the full list of new Pokemon and regional dex. It helps me plan my team and look for any new favorites. The regional dex also lets me know if there are older Pokemon accessible in the game that I've never used before and can try. I have always gone into a generation looking at the full list of new Pokemon anyway, and nothing tops the feeling of running into a new Pokemon in the wild for the first time even when you know it's found there.
The only things I really avoid spoiling are the plot and context of big events. I avoided the majority of plot spoilers for BW2 like the plague because I knew many of the characters. For the first BW, though, I had watched videos of the final battles in Japanese but didn't know the context because neither me nor the uploader knew the language. I was still mindblown when I got to that part of the game in English myself.
Prerelease info is all fair game for me and adds to the hype and advertisements. The official sources' magazine scans, Internet posts, and trailers are guaranteed to show new Pokemon anyway, so they're hard to stay away from. (plus the anime, especially the movies) There are some Pokemon that never get shown before the games actually come out like the third version mascot and some mid/ end-dex creatures.
i like to know and hear about new pokemon releces in fact ive heared of one pokemon called Olieon but dont know wheter its ture or fulse i know Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie, Xerneas and Yveltal are real
When I see a spoiler... I instantly click on it, because it's just there, like if someone leaves a cookie on the Kitchen counter, you just take it, and you don't ask questions, however you may feel slightly guilty afterwards. Guilty is how I felt when I was literally scanning the World Wide Web for info on B/W before they were released xD I knew all too well about the games before they came out here in the UK... Then when I saw Audino on a Bus stop a week before it came out, I was like "I wish I didn't know what that Pokémon was" but it was too late. So I guess what I'm trying to say is, as much as I could say I will wait and be patient, DEEP DOWN, I KNOW that I will spoil it for myself just because I'm THAT excited, and it's a Worldwide release so should be fun, lol.
I would like not to spoil myself, but thing is that it's juts impossible for me to do it, I wanna know, i thrive on information, and truth to be told, I generally just spoil little things, such as all the new pokémon and version exclusives, however, I did get the main story spoiled by the time of B/W, however, that didn't diminish at all my fun playing through the game.
Overall I don't try to read the plot as its a long read and I tend to play though at a fast enough pace to satisfy my craving for new stuff. However I am guilty of looking at version exclusives as I do still have and uphold the "Gotta Catch Them All" mentality. (Currently only need Meloetta) I also look at starter evo's because I hate to say it but if Fennekin is fire fighting in its final stage its just going to be a dex filler. I also may look at the new pokemon just to be prepared.
I always get more excited when I know more about them. I'm just glad everything will be revealed worldwide, so i won't have a hard time trying to get Japanese names out of my head like I did with "Tsutarja" "Pokabu" and "Mijumaru."
In fact, given what happened last time I'd expect to see review materials only going out to large and/or trusted news sources. The worldwide release is going to be a big deal and I think they're going to be extra-wary of people screwing it up.
Can't wait for it! 8 more days left!
