I remember about 7 years ago, when I first heard of Pokemon, and I thought that all Pokemon must be based on real animals (It just didn't occur to me that people could make the design of the Pokemon up entirely XD) and I saw a Lickitung, and I was like, "Mum, what animal is this supposed to be?"

I remember back in RBY, it was either Nidorino or Rhyhorn that scared the crap out of me. Their sprites were just freaky.
Also, Shelgon's cry scares me, it's creepy.

Venasuar's green sprite really scared me but I guess I got over it. all other Pokemon appear cute to me now.
If I had to pick one, it'd be Ariados, because I don't like spiders.

I look at it for the longest time, I can't tell what appendage is what, plus it looks like his mouth engulfs his head..
It has startled me more than once. Not the sprite you see in the battle but the one you have to go talk to to start the battle.
Ugh, in Red, whenever i saw a Golbat in the wild, i would be so surprised cause that thing is creepy in the 1st gen! Even, now, though Gyarados and Giratina freak me out.
I love Giratina's look, but its cry puts a shiver down my spine. It sounds like a thousand dying screams. :eek:
Giratina's cry kind of scares me, in a that's-so-freaken-awesome way. Iggybuff scares me. Aipom's grin frightens me. A lot of the first generation game sprites kind of freak me out, too. Other then that I can't think of anything.
