Certainly wouldn't be the first time. Not many people know that Lugia is actually based on the "Dragon God of the Sea" for example, and commonly refer to it as a bird.

I guess if it is a new Pokemon then it will still be considered Gen 5, like we were speculating a few weeks before when those... "things" ie fakes were shown.

that's my dilemma, i'm trying very hard not to think of it as something new, and figure out what existing pokemon it is.... but i can't. i guess i can think of a way to ask him. i just think, we won't get much info either way, if he does reply XD

Having obsessively played Crystal for what seems like two years due to not being able to afford a GBA, I have a distinct memory of an old man from Ecruteak mentioning that as a child, he saw a great silver dragon who's wings blocked out the sun.

But still, I doubt this bird is it.

For what it's worth, this Japanese fansite states that the Pokémon can't be identified.

and AAPF has a list of points why it isn't ho oh and includes pics of other birds.

seriously. i doubt its new since itd be a weird way to show off a new pokemon silhouette. but then WHAT THE HECK IS IT. SERIOUSLY.

If its a new forme I honestly wouldn't find it odd, though of what escapes me. If that is a Pokemon that we already know then it is badly distorted. :/

Be funny if it was the dreaded Farfetch'd evolution that everyone wants. : D

that is my basic dilemma. if it IS something we know already, it's all warped, and if that's the case...why?

In HGSS, the guy says that he saw a Pokemon that "looked like a bird and a dragon". Lugia's a Flying type instead of a Dragon type and is often portrayed flying or folding its wings like a bird. But I digress.

If it's the Original Dragon, then we know where Reshiram got its feathers from.

That is NOT a known Pokemon. It looks like Tranquill in its face but everything else is different.

Edit: Nevermind, not even its face (if that is its face) looks familiar. It has to be something new, or I'm just blind.

Yes, if you look at it super closely, its eyes can be seen (looks like eyes, IMO) and a beak. Kind of like Mukubird's but a bit smaller than that.

idk, Emomomonga's face looks much more chubby and roundier as compared to that AR silhouette. Not to mention, the pony/hair puff thingy looks way too different as well.
