I think some people are just going with their "best-fit" guess, but it really wouldn't work if we take into account those small anomalies. However, the 3D models may distort the work a bit but still...

Pidgeot has long head-feathers and stocky feet. Any body slimness is probably a design change. (just look at early official drawings of Pikachu, for instance)

Its gotta be an already known Pokemon if it can be traded into BW2. I don't even see what this could be an alternate forme of either, though thats possible I guess.

Wonder what other sites are saying about the "Mystery Bird"?

the body shape would have to have changed completely. pidgeot is shaped like a lemon, this is a pear, and the neck isn't thick enough, and theres other random stuff sticking out of the head that doesn't belong on pidgeot.

they aren't saying anything - people assumed ho-oh or archeops right off the bat and didn't think much of it. i noticed it was weird right away though... and doesn't match archeops or ho-oh at all unless they changed a lot in their design.

It obviously is not Ho-oh, but Archeops is still a possibility. The odd part is that if it is Archeops then its missing some parts, oddly its tail which shouldn't be that hidden.

I am now also starting to see the "hands" that The Outrage was talking about. Archeops has them for example, but not Pidgeot.

It is definitely not Archeops, whose model can be watched in movement here (stating from 0:36).

Ugh why do they have to silhouette everything? What the hell is that thing? It reminded me of the Loftwings from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword...but the wings don't fit.

Maybe because it's in 3D, we can't match it to any 2D art?

the 3D image they showed of ralts for the game was the same as other 3D models (nothing strange or changed)... so we should be technically able to match it up exactly to some angle of previous models... yeah?

Your both right, the feet area is too different and its missing alot of feathers that stick out. Unless its a big redesign or something for the new APP.

Its a mystery then, thought can't be Gen 6 if it can be traded into BW2. Another new forme? But of what?

I'm telling you that Game Freak is trolling and the original dragon is actually a bird...

goes along with my theory that Archeops is both the ancestor of birds and air born dragons

if it is a new pokemon of some kind, he'd have to ignore me or give me some roundabout answer, and either one would indicate it's new and implicate him... i'd feel kind of guilty, he's like my friend ;_; we'll know soon enough. only two more months till the game now. :D

But if is a new Pokémon, then we're supposed to be speculating about it. Surely they don't expect us to think it's an existing Pokémon if it isn't actually one.
