@The 10th Doctor What's that?
@Neosquid An international wifi tournament that the PGL is hosting. They're accepting 50,00 people from around the world to participate. The best part is, if you ragequit, you're disqualified! :D
@Neosquid You have to have a PGL account. If you don't have one, make one. Then register your game sync ID. After that, go sign up on the GBU and follow their directions on the battle box, etc.
@Neosquid It's doubles only. Registration started earlier today. I'd sign up quick because there's only 50,000 spots, and it's for the whole world.
@Neosquid Yeah you can't. You can't take them out of the battle box until it's over, either. I put my main pokemon in the battle box. Now I have under leveled pokemon to use in game for 6 days until the tournament starts :p
That sould be fun
Good luck with that.
I thought that this post I'm about to write may not be suitable for the UK Video Game Championships qualifier winner disqualified or VG Weekly Poll #32 Do you participate in the official VGC events? threads so I've posted it here. I've just noticed today that the winner of the UK National VGC Qualifier Masters division, Ben Kyriakou, is in my second year Maths year group at the University of York. I think that @Joshawott, @PkmnGreen and @Bouffalant Herdier would be very interested in this post since they do live in the UK. I did think that he looked familiar when I saw him battle in the Masters division final :D
Oh, that's sort of like how Beezie Madden comes from my town.
The most established Pokémon players I know are last year's 4th place and 2010's runner-up...well, I'm not on speaking terms with them xD. I am good friends with a guy who recently got Top 8 in Germany though (one of my friends who is going to all of the EU qualifiers).
Going back to tournaments I loved VGC 11 as it was a whole new format in regards to the "meta game" (was handy for me to get more used to competetive battling as it was my second tournament)
I know a couple of established UK players fairly well, and know off alot of the others. Its basically a big meet up at VGC xD
What you should in your next maths class @Water Max is to start a chat going of "Gary, Gary, Gary!" For anyone who was there, that was epic.
