I say the glitch counts :P
How did you manage to complete it once every generation? o_O And without cheating, too.
You have a dilemma there with those Pokémon, though. The games really need more box space :x

I have yet to complete one Pogeydex, but I'm pretty close in SoulSilver. I haven't been playing Pokemon a lot lately, I need to do it more. :/
Sheer determination. Well, that and buying both versions prior to Gen IV. I would only add them all to the Pokedex in one version and use the second version to get its version-exclusives, and restarting it to get all three starters, etc. I must love torturing myself, because something drove me to complete the Dex with three games in Gen IV.
There needs to be a Pokemon Box/Pokemon Ranch game for Gen V. I have so little space left, I haven't used the Dream World in ages.
Who is this git?

NO. There's no reason I need to buy another game solely to store my Pokemon! FFFFF, why can't they just add more boxes? It wouldn't kill them. Or, they could make them "unlockable", and you can unlock them by completing the game or completing some other task. It would add more playability to the game, and give us more boxes. There needs to be a Pokemon Box/Pokemon Ranch game for Gen V.
I'm no expert on memory space and all that, but there might not be enough left to add more than 24 boxes. Either that or they assumed that would be enough for anyone, which they were obviously totally wrong about. If the Pokemon Box game only cost £5, I'll have no problem with it. I see it like buying another SD Card on CD to store computer stuff.

Im honestly satisfied with the current number of boxes...

I'm not sure if it's a memory thing or not. It if is, and I really needed the extra space, I wouldn't mind spending $10 for it. But if it's going to cost me the same as a regular Pokemon game, then forget it.
They be trollin'.
I'd much rather have another save file than more boxes o3o

An additional save file would really be something. I wonder what's keeping them from implementing it.
Maybe they figure that the hardcore fans will buy an entirely separate copy of the game so they can have another file without losing their original.
They wont implement it cause they want people to buy an extra game, which makes them more money.
That and the possible lack of data storage. *Shrugs*

I usually find contentment with just breeding and random training :P I find trading to be one of the most fun things ever (I know, I'm so boring lol) but its something that really fascinates me! After gen 2 I wasn't able to trade with someone until gen 4 and actually, the realization that you can trade with anyone, in the whole world, just blew my mind. It's like, for those few mins, you and someone in some distant exotic place are connected, you know what someone you've never met is doing at that exact moment. And that sends chills down my spine. It also makes me unnaturally giddy when I am paired with someone who is in my state or city :P
I'm pretty positive the lack of multiple saves is a pure design choice, in the same way the main games are all for portables: They are intended to be personal and such. And when you can have more than one playthrough... well, it does become less of a personal experience.
I wouldn't even think of completing a National Pokédex though. A regional one is already a hard enough task, full pokédex completion is for the really hardcore fans.
Though about box storage... I don't know. I guess they did think it wasn't limited? But they'd have fixed it already given Pokémon box and such exist...
I know what you are talking about, specially on random battles. The feeling that you are connected with a random person you'll never see again nor have ever met, but for those few moments you are playing you are knowing each other. It's pretty cool when you think about it.the realization that you can trade with anyone, in the whole world, just blew my mind. Id like to at least try getting the National Dex in Soul Silver or White.
